Rookie Fitness (Just Do It!)

Another day of insanity down another day tired. I can feel a difference in my flexibility and my not being as sore. A lot has to do with proper stretching before and after exercise, something I didn't do.

I'm gonna try and wait the full 60 days before I step on a scale but it'll be tough.

Where would I find the latest version of Insanity and which one are you using?

I didn't know there was different versions. Haha. This one is really cardio heavy. Plus I'd assume its the first because it just says "Insanity".

Last night I caught part of that show "The Biggest Loser". Those gym work-out scenes with the trainers look brutal! Have to admit that the show is motivating. I'm going to make a point to watch this season.

There is only one version of Insanity. Shaun T does have another workout routine called Asylum, but it looks super hard. I wouldn't give it a go unless you get yourself through a round of P90X.

Thanks! Can I get Insanity at Best Buy, Target, etc? Does it start out slow? I'm in my 4th decade here.

No, it really doesn't start that slow.

1st day you do a fit test. Next day you start the cardio workouts. They aren't bad just exhausting.

I think the 4th day you do a cardio recovery, which different balances and stretches.

The best thing to do is to just jump right in. Keep putting the cd in the dvd player and just get it over. There will be many days where you will lack any kind of motivation to do anything. Those are the best days to workout. You feel like a million bucks afterwards.

:thumb: Words to live by! Just Do It! Thanks!

Just finished a small workout at the YMCA.

30 minute elliptical

20 minute run on treadmill

Use of machine weights to work abs and arm muscles

30 minutes of moderate basketball activity

Going to do my insanity workout later this evening.

Heard today on a news program that cutting just 100 calories a day nets a 10 pound weight loss each year!

Lost 8 pounds in the last week. Just can't find time to start working out because of work yet but the diet is going good.

 Awesome!

Did many things yesterday at the gym. Managed to set a new high on box jumps:

One set of 10 x 30"

Then a set of 10 x 36"
