January 18, 201313 yr It's been about 2 years since I did spinning. I forgot how hard it can be if you push yourself.
January 18, 201313 yr Worked out tonight. I'm sore all over. Feels good. Plan on kicking up my run a little faster and a little longer tomorrow.
January 18, 201313 yr Friend wants me to go skiing this weekend and I was completely in for it until I just thought about how easy it is to get your ski's stuck in the ground. I really don't like the thought of knee surgery #5. decisions, decisions. Snow board...

January 18, 201313 yr Deadlift 5/3/1 EDT (Front Squat/Good Mornings) Swim 17 lengths of the pool AKA worst day of the week. I am HORRIBLE at swimming.
January 18, 201313 yr Quit posting and get to it, Woodsrider. Or 10 burpees for you! :lol:I was between sets and just couldn't take it any more. There's a guy that carries around a xerox copy of a work from mens health or journal or something. I won't even get into the plethora of idiotic exercises it has him do. The on that prompted my post this moring was front squats on the smith machine. Every time he does them I want to go over and smack him. It's bad enough he's doing them on a smith machine but his form is beyond brutal, even for doing them on a smith machine. He's got his feet too far back and squats on his toes. His knees end up at least 6 inches in front of front of his feet. He's the poster child for the guy that blames squats for hurting his knees not knowing it's his awful form that's hurting his knees.
January 19, 201313 yr Did many things yesterday at the gym. Managed to set a new high on box jumps: One set of 10 x 30" Then a set of 10 x 36" I started doing these this week and the two day soreness has me inching down steps.
January 19, 201313 yr I started back in the gym 2 weeks ago and I weighed in at 232lbs at 6'2. The first week I did Alot of light weights to get my muscles acclimated and mixed cardio by doing 15 minutes on treadmill, 4 rounds at 3 min hitting the heavybag and 10 min intervals on stairmaster. Its been 16 days since I started and I have been at the gym 10 of those days while also eating healthy throughout the week. I normally give myself one cheat day for some beers, bourbon, wings, pizza whatever. But When I do cheat i eat decent portions and dont overeat. The dieting and two weeks roughly of consistent exercise has gotten me down to 228lbs and my fighting weight is 215. In my 20's i was consistently 205 to 210. In my 30's still in great shape at 218 to 220. I am 41 now and I think you see the pattern here. I think carrying 215lbs is solid for my frame but its certainly not as easy at 41.
January 19, 201313 yr Crossfit this morning. I'm pretty sore from the deadlifts on Thursday so going to be rough going.
