While they might always be at a disadvantage against I-AA and NAIA schools, if they make the right decisions and invest the right money in their football program, there is no reason they shouldn't compete for league championships.

But I would look at the formula followed by other Pioneer League schools like Butler, San Diego, Jacksonville, etc. I wonder if Morehead State, being a state (public) university in a league comprised entirely of private schools, can invest money into their program the same way as their league brethren?

Should have an advantage as far as cost of school goes... Plus Morehead gets lots of perks as far as areas such as Atlanta and every county touching KY getting in state tuition costs. MSU might lack in facilities.

MSU might lack in facilities. I've been to Jacksonville, went up there to see them play Davidson several years ago. Most high schools have better facilities.
