November 19, 201213 yr This is my new biggest pet peeve. When someone starts off saying, "I'm not complaining, but..." and then they go on complaining about their issue whatever it may be. A friend just did it in our fantasy league. He starts off with that and then writes a paragraph complaining about something. Drives me crazy haha!
November 19, 201213 yr In my line of work there are a lot of rules and regulations with the customers I work with. So naturally there are a lot of gray areas. So I get to hear all the time of questions clearly in the gray, followed by "I'm just asking." :madman: Drive me nuts.
November 19, 201213 yr In reading these though I admit I am guilty of saying a lot of these useless statements. Another one, ending a sentence with "so". Take notice of it, the "so" will drive you nuts.
November 19, 201213 yr A serious question. Is this a local thing, or universal? You're walking your dog or strolling your infant. Someone comes up and says, "What a beautiful ____________ (fill in the blank - doggie, baby girl, etc.)." You reply, "Say thank you". Clearly the doggie, baby, etc. cannot say any such thing. I can't remember hearing the "Say________" reply growing up (away from here); but I may just not remember.
November 19, 201213 yr "I'll be honest with you..." I feel like that would make me question the other things they say when they don't use that preface.
