There should be a couple of spots for Athletes, basically spots for a couple of guys who can play various positions on both sides of the ball.

I see at least four QB's (Fidler, Black, Anderson & Burke). Hope they can play other positions or just play a quarter each.

Fidler, Burke, and Chris Cessna were elected to the team but have chosen not to play. The 2 QB's are Anderson from Male and KJ Black from Fern Creek. Olinger is on the team as a DB.

I can understand Cessna's reason for not playing (REHAB) but I think it is almost a slap in the face to decline this offer unless your school say's no. NC State may have done that, not sure. Not sure why Fidler won't play since he is going to UK, unless it has something to do with his early enrollment to UK.

I'm a little disapointed that Tim Horton didn't make the list, he was such an all-around stud for Manual... I didn't expect to see him, just hoped his all-around talent would be on the field. Where is Trinity's Senn, I wonder? That's a snub, in my mind. 10 Louisville players out of 43 on that list, though....

I definitely agree with you that the omission of Senn is a travesty, but I also wonder why Tim Dougherty, the kicker from St. X. was not included. This young man is a major weapon as a placekicker (D1 scholarship to Purdue), and is also a capable punter. A good kicking game can easily mean the difference between victory and defeat over a talented Tennessee team. As a coach seeking a high profile victory, I would want this weapon in my arsenal.

I said it in a past post, do players really get up for this game/team? Fidler and Burke not willing to play!!! I realize there may be a lot of kids who think this is a big deal, and it may be to some, but why doesn't two good QB's want to play? You lead by example and normally it starts at the QB spot. Talent from Louisville not being selected is a huge slap, but that's politics, right? I have to agree with Ox, the St. X kicker not being selected, give me a break..................

Congrats to all these young men.... Leaving off Senn is a mistake. In my best John Madden voice..... "Now hears a guy who can beat you on either side of the ball. He's in on special teams and can even sell some popcorn".

Beatty hasn't even been around all that long.

6 years, four state championships, been in the game 5 years, and has been coach of the year. Just because someone has been AROUND, does not make them worthy to represent OUR state's "finest" against TENN.

 

BTW, Lampley never got much love from this game, neither does Glaser.
