This was one of the more gruesome injuries I have ever seen. Every bit as graphic as the Thiesmann break

SC has not confirmed.

Honestly, there seems little doubt, confirmation or no.

If true, it goes down as the worst lower body injury in big time sports history, right? His knee was on an island, literally, if the report is true...

Good question.

For those too young to remember Theisman this is the modern-day equivalent of "don't look at it."

Theisman, Krumrie and McGahee are the three images etched in my memory. From a medical standpoint, isn't this like all 3 combined???

Basically. Unless his kneecap cracked in half I can't imagine it being any worse.

Livingstons was bad too, but this is the worst.

Napoleon McAllum had a really nasty one too in 1994.

That was ugly. Knee went backwards.

Reminded me of the scene from the program.

Took me back to see Willis McGahee in 02. Made me sick to watch.

My thoughts exactly; I really hope he can make it back, but after serious injuries like this, it's questionable to say in the least.

Just saw the video and the class and sportsmanship by BOTH teams was what can make athletics so special. It's a shame it takes something this horrific to get some athletes to show their class but when you see it displayed it makes you believe in the things athletics can bring to the stage. My prayers go out for this young man.

Its injuries like this that make me glad my kid is a tackle. At least at his position , injury risk can be mitigated with preventative orthopedics.

This is also a lesson to all the kids that think they can make a living playing football. You have to be prepared for life after football.

I think his career is over if his knee is as bad as rumored. He just had an ACL tear last year. He might try to come back but he will never be the same.
