I think the filming rule is pretty loose even though it doesn't read like it. I don't think the home team has to allow the film guys into the exact same location. If you film from a press box then giving the other team the chance to film from the top I'm sure fits.

 

On a complete side note on filming there are schools in the state that film from multiple locations at the same time during the game such as sideline and end zone. I would be surprised if they give the opponents the same access or even a choice

And as far as consent to broadcast, again, if Ryle has been doing it for two years I think Conner owed it to Ryle to say no long before Friday rolled around.

 

Thanks you for the help. Just because they have been doing it for two years doesn't mean prior consent is not needed. I agree if they knew prior to the game they owed it to them to say something beofore friday. However, to show up and assume you have the right at someone's venue is another thing. Which is it in this case?

Dale does not permit NorthernKentuckySports.com to video broadcast their games, even though they have been requested to by the Highlands school board.

 

It is common courtesy to inform the team you are playing that you wish to broadcast the game, whether video or audio, and share the broadcast links with them.

Conner films from atop the pressbox. Not sure about the Cooper game HB, but I know that the Conner coaches were put outside at the game last year at Cooper. The Conner coaches could not even hear over their headsets due to the stadium address speakers being so close to them. This was NOT the film crew, but the coaching staff. Talk about bush league. I have also been informed that Conner coaches were put outside at Ryle also due to "space issues". Only difference is that a thread was not started about these issues on BGP.

 

I know for a fact you were informed wrong in regards to the Conner coaches being put on the roof of the press box at Ryle. Ryle has a booth for visiting coaches in the press box. It's not real big but it is there. Could have been the Conner coaches chose to go up on the roof but if they did, it was their decession.

When people are allowed to blatantly lie about things that never happened ... it should be addressed frequently ... and it should not be forgotten.

 

Not to mention ... there are plenty of witnesses on BOTH sides who admit that this never happened.

 

The "real" issues on this subject where brought to light during a specific situation last week.

Which again ... are completely pathetic.

Where did I say anything about Conner coaches being put on the roof at Ryle? That happened at Cooper. With regards to Ryle, I said outside. Nothing was said about the roof. Read it again.

Lets see, we are talking about one school district correct?

 

So if I am on the Board of Education in Boone County and I got wind of any of this going on in a public forum, there would be a meeting of all involved and it wouldn't be pretty, no matter who was right and who was wrong.

 

I mean you can see it happening between schools from different parts of the Commonwealth due to difference of understanding of the rules or even the having communication problems but to have these kinds of problems involving one school district? :idunno:

Conner Fans seem to get uptight about everything. From Cheerleaders setting up a tunnel, to not telling Ryle they can broadcast live. If you didn't want them to broadcast make a phone call and tell them. It is no secret that they have been filming for a few years, if you didn't want them to film man up and tell them. Don't do it after they already had it rolling. That is Busch League. Originally, I thought Ryle was told that they could not broadcast it but, it seems that message was never passed along. I'm going to go ahead and guess that the reason Conner didn't beat Ryle by 1,000 is because they were being broadcasted live on ihigh, and were distracted. Right??? Can someone lend a tissue to everyone who has cried over the issues Conner has had to deal with this year?
