October 10, 201213 yr Would you like some tickets to an Obama campaign rally? Even though I am an Obama guy....this post is hilarious. Well done, BF. Well done.
October 10, 201213 yr The players are loose. The Giants are getting their tails kicked tomorrow. WLWT Following Tuesday night's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants in extra innings, the Cincinnati Reds' Bronson Arroyo went across the street to the Holy Grail on The Banks to sing for the crowd. The bar had been packed all night as fans cheered on the Reds in their first home playoff game of the season. He sang "Shimmer" by the band Fuel and the crowd seemed to like it. The Reds will take on the Giants for Game 4 at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Great American Ball Park. Arroyo sings to fans after Reds' loss | Cincinnati - WLWT Home
October 10, 201213 yr The only thing that worries me is that Leake struggles bad with location after coming back on long rest. I know one thing for sure, Leake better bring it tomorrow, or I think we can all agree that Flotsam won't be suspended, his account will be deleted. I agree Leake is a guy who does better when pitching on a normal basis, and not so well after a long rest. I know I was one who wanted Leake to be the 4th pitcher over Homer a month or so ago. I changed my mind on that after seeing Homer throw his no hitter, he won me over on how he knows how to keep his composure in big moments and showed it again in this game. Its a shame we couldn't get the win for him today. I just hope can come out and come up with a good start. He has done great on the road against the Giants, so hopefully it carries over to home tomorrow.
October 10, 201213 yr As someone who was there, BUMMER.:irked: The bats were ice-cold; and whereas they found the gaps in San Fran, tonight most hits went straight to someone. Homer Bailey deserved better, which has been the case before this season. As for tomorrow, I like Mike Leake. I also felt he should have been on the roster before some others, especially Simon. He's also a hitter. I'm going back tomorrow, and hoping it will all end there. As to parking, we ventured to the Kentucky side, parked in Newport and rode the TANK bus. Very easy and worked out well. GO REDS!
October 10, 201213 yr Crash, GT, all you from the Cincy area, make sure this doesn't happen. Make it look like an accident. I don't care how you do it. You've got the river if you need it. I will be at work or I would try to help. Don't worry I've got this covered. and now I've got an allibye. Got ya covered next time though.
October 10, 201213 yr IF Cueto could reasonably go 2x in NLCS, I think you start Simon or LeCure today. Play a couple of innings with a short leash and see where you stand. If up 2, tied or down 2, maybe use Latos' 4 innings / 60 pitches in the middle of the game rather than at the beginning. If you start Latos, you have eliminated ANY chance of using him in Game 5. If up or down 3 or more, add in Hoover and Arredondo to get you to the 7th or so. If up, turn it over to Marshall, Broxton & Chapman. If you don't end up using Latos, you have him on full rest and Arroyo on 3 days rest for Game 5 so the damage you do to the 4 out of the bullpen in Game 4 is less of a concern. If down, stretch then other 3 or 4 and get ready for Game 5. (Sort of what they did in Game 1 on an impromptu basis.) IF you doubt Cueto can go 2x in the NLCS, put Leake in his spot and save Latos on full rest and Arroyo on 3 days if necessary for the "all hands on deck" Game 5.
October 10, 201213 yr I would not take Cueto off the roster. If you activate Leake then remove Simon from the roster.
October 10, 201213 yr I keep hearing different things. Assuming the Reds keep winning, if they take Cueto off the roster, does he have to sit just the NLCS or does he have to miss the WS also?
October 10, 201213 yr No, I HATE losing! Nobody likes losing. But I HATE people who lack respect and grace when they do lose...
October 10, 201213 yr I would not take Cueto off the roster. If you activate Leake then remove Simon from the roster. You can only remove someone from the roster if they are injured so you would have to "fake" an injury and see if you can get away with it (HUGE flag since MLB knows Cueto is injured).

October 10, 201213 yr For those that said the place was rockin' last night, I thought the atmosphere was kinda pathetic for a playoff game. I've never heard so many people complain about people standing. I would hate to be an usher right now fielding all these complaints. As I was walking down the aisle, one guy said to an usher, "I've asked these guys to sit down multiple times, but they said this was their team and they were going to stand and cheer for them since it was the playoffs. I told them the playoffs wasn't an excuse to stand all the time, and they need to sit down as they're obstructing my view." IMO, at a playoff game, you should expect to be on your feet more than on your butt. If you're expecting to sit in your seat the whole game like a typical regular season game, then stay at home on your couch.

I thought the atmosphere was for the most part great, with the exception being the idiots who were "wooing" and the idiots in the Diamond and Scout seats waving their towels while the Reds were in the field. :idunno:
October 10, 201213 yr Found tickets for relatively cheap on stub hub last night. I was there for the clincher and was in Pitt for the no-hitter. Don't worry guys I got this.

I thought the atmosphere was for the most part great, with the exception being the idiots who were "wooing" and the idiots in the Diamond and Scout seats waving their towels while the Reds were in the field. :idunno: I was down the left field line in the lower section, and it was pathetic. People yelling at people to sit down. The guys beside said numerous times how pathetic the crowd was (at least around us). The towels IMO were a stupid idea to begin with, but you can blame MLB on that. They told the Reds what and where to order.
