According to this report the US had information of an attack 48 hours prior yet were not put on high alart. If this is true it is absolutely ridiculous.

 

I haven't read all of the information, but perhaps they were counting on Egypt to help protect the embassy? It is just a couple of blocks away from the square (can't spell the name of it) where all the uprising happened last year. Plus, after reading reports on how the attacks in Libya went down, it looks like firing back at the mod caused them to get worse.

 

Back about two months ago when there was talk about going into the embassy in London to get then Wiki Leaks founder, it wouldn't be a good thing, again it's sovereign territory, an act of aggression on that nation. Back in WWII the Vatican housed 100s of Jews for the same reason, they knew the axes powers would not enter.

 

What the US needs to do is remind people that embassies are sovereign territories and any breach of the walls is considered an attack on the US and we will defend the Embassy as we do our soil here! I don't think that Egypt wants to lose our 2 billion we send them every year, second only to the money we send to Israel.

That's pretty pathetic if that's the case. I would say that's inexcusable, I hope it's nothing remotely close to that. I honestly plan on following this story closely because if there was knowledge of a pending attack 48 hours before and nothing was done, wow.

The mystery behind the film maker is getting interesting. The guy wanted to incite extreme Muslims, well he got what he wanted, and now he is in hiding. All one has to do is look back to when the Satanic Verses came out, or a few years ago in Denmark over a cartoon which had a drawing of Muhammad, as I said, we knew this would happen so why the heck would someone want to incite these people? A HUGE majority of the people in these countries are against what happened even though they are upset over the film. The film maker lied to the actors as well, and he dubbed in audio after the fact. I say we turn him over, he created this mess, let him pay for it!

All he wanted was the money, fame and attention. He did not care about the risk for others.

 

Much like the Reverend in Florida and even some of our well known TV preachers. They are not the ones in "harm's way." American workers, missionaries and officials are the ones on the front lines and the Dollar and pub is more important to these kind of people than innocent lives.

The embassy was not even put on high alert or locked down.

Are you guys really buying that all of this was a response to a movie on Youtube? The attack in Lybia was a well planned attack. This administration is using the youtube video as an excuse for failed policy.

Egypt is a democracy, remember, Obama and his Arab spring overthrow ushered in a new democracy in Egypt, more freedoms. According to democracy a person can make a movie and be critical.
