This week the Birds are back home to face a big and athletic Mason County team. I think this team is a great team to play to prep for next weeks match up. Thoughts? Can a Mod please add a poll?

I hate to be one to compare scores but if I must. Pulaski beat Rowan by 15, Rowan beat Mason by 14 and SK beat Pulaski by 43. I think HHS wins by a bunch.

You must be thinking about the Lofton,Grutza team, this game will have a running clock. They lost 71-8 last year and that team was better

What does Highlands get out of scheduling this game? Varsity time for their freshmen?

Plenty of time to work on things and rest up some key players for the Cov Cath game this week from what I am hearing.

Another pass heavy week of offense in prep for CCH. Mason Co. will go home with Histoplasmosis friday night.

Highlands by as many as they want; I don't see much of a difference from their game played last season.

Highlands 69

Mason Co 0

Over by the end of1st Qtr.

Highlands 63-0.

I think Mason will surprise everyone. They will hold Birds to less than 35 in the 1st quarter. I think that's the most I've seen them score in one quarter. I just don't think they should look past anyone but you and I both know that Cov Cath has been heavy on the mind since the day the season ended last year.

Highlands in a walk. I hope there are changes with the KO team this week. Last wk was ugly!

I think Mason County was expected to be pretty good last year before they were derailed by injuries. Obviously they wouldn't have beat Highlands, but I'm guessing both coaches thought the other team would provide something for their team to work on. Due to injuries to Mason County, however, the Bluebirds instantly found themselves in a running clock situation. While Highlands would have won 100 out of 100 times, the initial game on the schedule probably looked a little better than how it turned out.

Also, Mason Co. Was a late add to the Birds schedule as Mason H.S. in OH. was originally on the schedule & for whatever reason canceled. Give credit to the Royals for adding Highlands in the summer of '11.
