Wow SK 21 and BW 17 I thought all SK fans thought a 2 TD win, wow again a 6A beat down a 1A by 4 pts. and BW was without MR. Nussbaum. I would think SK is a pretender and not a contender in 6A. JD

You could say that about every team not named Trinity, unless of course you're talking about runner up.

Am I the only one who thinks it is rediculous that fans of a 6A school are stoked about beating a 2A squad that hasn't been relevant since 2006 and 1A school that was missing their best player? A 6A school should never lose to a school from 1A or 2A.

Nobody expected 100 degrees at gametime. SK played ground and pound trying to wear down Beechwood most of the game.

Tell you what it was PACKED in Independence tonight, drove by on my way home from work and saw people parking at the funeral home almost half a mile from the field. Thought about pulling in on the bike and watching a little from the Elementary school but it was just too crowded for my liking, usually a big crowd means there's a few cars parked in the Elementary school lot, there were probably a few hundred in there. With that said obviously two games tonight played a part in that but it was that packed before half time of the first game.

 

As for the game, congrats SK and good luck to Beechwood moving forward, the seasons still young and hopefully both teams continue to improve.

I'm happy for uk#1 and SK. Good win SK. Keep it up. 6A looks weak. Who knows what may happen.

I am proud of both teams playing in that heat. It was very hot in the bleachers.
