July 11, 201214 yr Author If the Cards want this series worse than the Reds and take game 1 I see them winning 2 of 3. I'm sure that Dusty will tell the boys that it is only a regular season series and downplay the importance of beating the Cards when he should be getting them fired up to kick some butt and get the 2nd half started off with 3 in a row. Latos , Leake and Cueto better keep the ball in the yard or the Cards could kickstart the Reds right into 3rd place. I hate it when teams want it more than other teams.
July 11, 201214 yr I hate it when teams want it more than other teams. If the Reds want the WS the most I'm sure they will win it. Give me a break with that stuff.

July 11, 201214 yr You know I was being sarcastic don't you? Of course. I mean give me a break with the they have more heart/they want it more stuff. This isn't Little League baseball.
July 11, 201214 yr Scott Rolen is 0 for his last 19 with 11 K's. 7 - 37 Since coming back from the DL. For those scoring at home, that's not good.

(Stubbs) I was in Cincy today and I thought I heard an axe grinding, it was just Cueto sharpening his spikes!
July 12, 201214 yr Of course. I mean give me a break with the they have more heart/they want it more stuff. This isn't Little League baseball. Give me a break. Is your memory that short to remember the way the Reds kicked it around and ran the bases on the west coast, unable to get runners in from 3rd with less than 2 outs? I'd say that San Fran and LA wanted it a little more or the Reds wouldn't have left there 3 and 4 and needing to win 3 of 4 in SD to play .500 on the trip.

July 12, 201214 yr Cards send out Wainwright, Lynn, Westbrook. I was hoping Berkman would be back but it looks like he will be on a short rehab stint. Both teams will be fired up but I see the Reds taking 2 of 3. I'll be there for the Sunday night game as well.

July 12, 201214 yr Scott Rolen is 0 for his last 19 with 11 K's. Rolen is still a ways off from Stubbs' 0-32 mark. With hard work and dedication Rolen can keep the streak alive into the 0 - thirties and beyond. I just hope Dusty doesn't risk messing things up by spotting Frazier into the lineup.
