The Cardinals knew it was over.

You're just full of them tonight.

Even UKMF knew it was over when the missile launched tonight.

Well the Reds reasoning is that they wanted to give everyone about the same days of rest.

Are you sure the Reds' reasoning isn't because Latos is the ace?

Put the bath salts down man.

Cody Ransom with a 2 out Grand Slam to give the Brewers a 10-6 lead heading into the top of the 9th.

Put the bath salts down man.

I was half-joking, but I legitimately consider Cueto & Latos 1A & 1B (in that order).

Latos' last 3 starts (not including tonight):

@ San Diego: 7 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 2 BB, 8 K

@ San Fran: 9 Innings, 2 Hits, 1 Run, 0 BB, 7 K

Milwaukee: 9 Innings, 4 hits, 1 run, 2 BB, 13 K

That's #1 type stuff...

Should have been out of this inning if BP turns a routine DP.

That was absolutely ridiculous. TV announcers made a comment about BP not being himself. What's the story there? Hangover from not being selected to AS game?

Great atmosphere in the stadium tonight. I hate the Cardinals but there fans are great. A trip to Mayberry.

Didn't get to watch the game but will take a win over the Cards anytime. Looks like Latos struggled with pitch count but held it close and Chapman did his thing. Also looks like the Reds struggled with RISP again but I guess that should not come as a surprise since they have done that for awhile. Good to get some guys some work from the pen including Simon who hadn't pitched since June 27th but continues to impress. This guy might be good trade bait or a candidate for a starting role next year. How long will Rolen stay on the bench? Dusty has to see that Frazier needs to play everyday. He continues to do good things when given a chance. Stubbs has to come out of the 2 hole and maybe the lineup altogether as he is giving this team nothing on offense. Mr. Stubborn needs to get this figured out but it may take Jocketty pulling the trigger on someone to get it done. Let's don't be satisfied with winning 1 of the next 2 but let's get a sweep and send the Cards down the standings a little.

Phillips had 3 hits last night. Sure would be nice to see him getting those hits in front of Votto. If Dusty wants to get this offense going he needs to move Phillips back to lead off, drop Stubbs to 8, or bench him, and play Hesiey.

I predict Rolen starts today versus Lohse - veteran bat versus veteran pitcher with average fastball.

How can you call yourself Voice of Reason when you think like Dusty?:lol:

That is a prediction of what he will do, not a statement of what I would do.

Back to the bench goes Frazier. Long long can he stay with Stubbs where he is?

Cozart SS

Stubbs CF

Votto 1B

Phillips 2B

Bruce RF

Ludwick LF

Rolen 3B

Mesoraco C
