Now that the calendar has turned to the month of June, can someone post where their schools will be playing June games and who the opponents are, if in fact they know them.

Cov Cath varsity plays the following:

June 2 at Newport 11am

June 5 at Turpin round robin w/ Turpin & West High 6pm

June 6-9 Georgetown team camp

June 11 Walton Verona 6pm

June 13 at Brossart

June 18-20 Cincy St X team camp

June 22 -23 Lou. St X team camp

I know Montgomery County scrimmaged Wolfe County today but I don't have any info.

Scott County has scrimmaged twice, beating Grant County in each quarter and absolutely drilling Clark County. Word I got was Clark County was awful, but honestly I wouldn't expect anything different after what they lost. And, what they did last year, I wouldn't worry about what Clark County does in the summer. Scott County will be playing in Georgetown College team camp and KBA state as well as some other scrimmages (although I don't yet have details on those).

Johnson Central will be at Georgetown team camp and state aau at KBA.

Grant County had Scott County down 11-0 to start the game. Grant County won the first quarter by 1 point. Scott County won the second quarter by 5 points and the third quarter by 6 points. Grant County won the fourth quarter by 4 points.

What weekend is the KBA & Derek Smith Shootout? Those are usually 2 of the top June events.

In the past two years we have graduated 16 seniors. 8 each from the 2011 and 2012 classes. Our first sub in last year was a Freshman....rebuilding year for GRC. Now how fast we rebuild will be the question.

I don't have our schedule yet, but I know we have scrimmaged Rowan Co and have or will scrimmage Madison Central.

Woodford County scrimmaged Grant County and lost the first 3 quarters by 3 but came out the 4th and beat Grant by 23 in the quarter. WC is in a rebuilding year as well after losing 6 seniors and all 5 starters but the cupboard is not bare. I know they are going to play Rowan County on the day of the Ky/In All-star game since they each have a player in the game then in the Lexington Catholic team camp, KBA state tournament, and the Bluegrass Championships in Frankfort.

The Jackets are still without the baseball players like Boggess who will be big this season.

Highlands scrimmaged Walton Verona yesterday. It Was a mix of Varsity and JV kids so hard to tell who won and they did Not Keep score. Birds didnt have 6'6 Jr Center Nick True who is attending football Camps I believe.

Core for Highlands looked to be Sr's Witte, Turner,Gronotte and Hinkle. Jrs Houliston, Hergott, Greene, Brockett, Buten and Sophs Feggins and Weyer. Feggins played alot with first 5, he is strong.

Rest of June for Birds.

@Louisville PRP today (3 games starting around 3pm)

@NKU Team camp June 8th, 9th.

@Morehead St Team Camp June 15th.-17th.

Unsure who they will play in those Camps.

Highlands also scrimmages Mason County on Friday June 22nd in Maysville.

Lincoln County played at North Laurel this past Thursday and won all three games (North Laurel, Casey County, Leslie County) by 30 or so. Here is their remaining varsity summer schedule:

June 4th @ Lexington Cath 1pm vs Madison Central, 5pm vs Bryan Station

June 6-9 Georgetown Team Camp

June 11th @ Madison Central 12pm vs Clark County, 2pm vs Breathitt County

June 12th @ Madison Central 1pm vs Lafayette, 4pm vs LCA

June 14th @ Anderson County

June 18-21 @ Adair County

Let's all remember that scores are irrelevant in the summer. Scores tell us nothing.

Just tell me who played well. That's what summer is for.
