Dusty must be the best leader of men in sports history, because even after acknowledging the limits of an outsider's perspective, his tactical choices make me want to punch 47 puppies … and I have no vested interest at all in the Reds
May 30, 201214 yr Excellent start tonight by Homer. It was against a weak hitting Buco team but he continues to throw quality starts and has to be getting a lot of confidence from this. Good to see the offense score so many runs without the long ball.

I've made it known throughout the past few years that I'm definitely not one of Homer's biggest fans. But he's certainly been bringing it lately.
May 30, 201214 yr That win puts the Reds over .500 on the road at 13-12. Let's get one more win tonight and hopefully with a Cards loss they can put a little more distance between them.
May 30, 201214 yr I was dead right about Chapman, and dead wrong about Bailey. He's been very good. However, I am still apprehensive about him long term. If the Reds are going to continue to contend, they need this Homer all season long. Here's hoping he maintains.
