Why didn't Dusty just let Bronson bunt the runners over. I guess Costanzo can't bunt either. Costanzo is now 1 of 13 with 8 strike outs. We all know Stubbs can bunt, but we know it's not to go to the pitcher. Anyway , nice catch Drew.

May 28, 201214 yr Just another case of the "toothpick" feeling good about the way the team has been playing and figuring that his sitting 2 starters won't hurt their momentum any. Imo you play your best against their best starter and let the scrubs play versus a lesser starter. Duh!!!!! Dusty's comment about Valdez. "Today isn't as much about [Cozart] getting a rest as much as I need to play Valdez," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "He's played less than anybody on the team." Guess what Dusty? He is a role player and SHOULD play less than anybody else.
May 28, 201214 yr Bronson was terrible, Costanso should not be on this team, Valdez batting in the 2 hole is a joke, and Stubbs was so overmatched against the starter for Pittsburgh today.
