Hanigan is a nice contact guy but he has about zero chance of leaving the park.

Somebody tell me what Dusty just accomplished by watsing Cairo to run for Costanzo. The cowboy is as confused as I am.

Because Cairo can come in and play 1st base?

This offense just drives me crazy with their all or nothing games. Once again they make a guy who they almost ran out NY look like Nolan Ryan. This guy's era is over 4.00 and the Reds get 1 hit against him in 7 innings.

Because Cairo can come in and play 1st base?

Oh defensive purposes huh? Do you think he is really faster than Costanzo?

I guess the kids think that Joey will come off the bench tonight and save them from defeat.

Anybody else opt for a change in the hitting coach on this team?

The Reds cannot afford to give up another run. Costanzo is not available to come off the bench as a pinch hitter.

Why not let Frazier hit and bat Votto for Cairo??

Because it makes the most sense.

And if Frazier hits into a DP and Votto doesn't bat you guys are losing your mind over that as well...

No I'm not. Frazier has been hitting the ball well, and has had some clutch hits.

The Reds lost but have been much better of late...They are six games over Im sure many including myself were starting to think they may never get that far over...The world is not ending a lot could have been done to possibly chancge the game and I hate Dusty but this loss doesnt really kill me...I think they will be okay, I see them sweeping the Stros...

The Reds will have Leake, Latos and Arroyo going. The Astros will have Happ in game 1, not sure of the next 2 games. The Astros are a tough little team. A sweep will be difficult.

I agree they are a tuff team...They have no big name guys other than Lee and Wandy but they can get it done...Coming off a loss in the last game of the series which I dont think happens much I think the Reds will be motivated and ready to roll...They are also coming off an off day to begin the series, I smell sweep...Im very confident in the Reds right now...I think the Reds blast quite a few HRs into the short left field porch in Houston...

No, not just defensive purposes. Primarily, I assume, because Cairo is faster than Costanzo.

EZ, you make good points at times but there are other times when you just try too hard to bash Dusty. In baseball there are always going to be opportunities to second guess any manager where there is a legitimate, debatable decision. You don't have to second guess every decision.
