Adam Dunn is back

Featured Replies

Last 10 games:

1 HR. 5 RBI, 20 SOs, .132 Avg. Classic Adam Dunn. His low points tend to last up to a month, so lets talk again in a couple of weeks.

He'll strike out a lot even when he's hot.

416 at bats there over the course of multiple seasons ...
You should have the confused icon there ... the actual number is less than half of that. He also has good numbers in the #9 spot ... you want to try him there, too?
For the record, I get why the Reds traded him. No question about that.

I just think Dunn takes unnecessary criticism because he was on a team with no pitching.

Amen ...

I still see 416 at bats in the 2 spot which is a good chunk of at bats...Batting 9th is invalid and the at bats there dont even compare to the numer of at bats hitting second...

Stubbs, not Dunn ... you said that it was "proven" to help Stubbs.

How do you feel about Jay Bruce?

A friend of mine just said last week that "Dunn caused the Reds to lose for 6 years." Uhh, ok.

He's right. Didn't you see Dunn's ERA for those years?

That's code for, "I don't know what I'm talking about."

Hard to talk intelligent baseball with people like that.

Isn't the season more than 10 games long? Since Dunn has more runs scored, homeruns, RBIs and a better OBP I would say it is safe to say that I could find some similar 10 game stretches in Dunn's season. Both players are very streaky.

Yep. sure you could. Season is more than 10 games. Want to reference last season??

Want to reference their career production through the same ages?

I have no dog in this fight and actually I'm not even sure what the argument really is but I have nothing better to do :D
