July 2, 201214 yr Close. More lifestyle. They all lived at One Lytle together. Frat house mentality is being conservative. I even mentioned to Kearns, that they'd be paying for it in a couple years. Really I had few qualms with Dunn until I had some personal experiences with the dude. I did notice that Dunn looked trimmer, so at least he's finally working at it. He very easily could have been a superstar. That being said, he has made quite a bit of money, so hat's off to him for that. And that only. So basically you dislike him as a player because you had a bad personal experience? That explains a lot...

July 2, 201214 yr Adam All-Star Dunn! I really hope they pick him for the home run derby. I think he will be in it along with Hamilton and Bautista

I think playi g with Griffey was the worst thing that happened to him. I never got the impression Griffey worked as hard as some super stars because he was so naturally gifted. Griffey and Larkin also loved to party, but my guess is a lot of players party
July 2, 201214 yr I think playi g with Griffey was the worst thing that happened to him. I never got the impression Griffey worked as hard as some super stars because he was so naturally gifted. Griffey and Larkin also loved to party, but my guess is a lot of players party I'm sure they party. But somewhere along the way those guys did take care of their bodies. The group I'm refering to was not. I would venture that Griffey's and Larkin's lifestyle was nothing like Dunn and Kearns.
July 3, 201214 yr I know someone that has some connections to the Reds' organization ... he always blamed Griffey for what he felt was Dunn's lazy attitude. He said Dunn worked hard when he first came up, then started spending time with Griffey and "big-leaguing it."

July 25, 201214 yr 1st player to 30 homers this season!:irked::lol: Take THAT!!! He is hitting .211 so you can hang your hat on that.
July 25, 201214 yr Take THAT!!! He is hitting .211 so you can hang your hat on that. And aren't the White Sox in first place?
July 25, 201214 yr And aren't the White Sox in first place? They are. I'm really starting to worry about that Mayan calendar thing:scared:
July 25, 201214 yr Author I know someone that has some connections to the Reds' organization ... he always blamed Griffey for what he felt was Dunn's lazy attitude. He said Dunn worked hard when he first came up, then started spending time with Griffey and "big-leaguing it." That's what I always heard as well. The numbers don't show that. His stats were amazingly consistent during his Reds career. Attitude is such a subjective thing. Personally, I never saw any big difference in attitude. He was always a very laid back guy.
July 25, 201214 yr And aren't the White Sox in first place? The world really is going to end. Edit... Dang it Mal beat me to it.
July 26, 201214 yr The numbers don't show that. His stats were amazingly consistent during his Reds career. Attitude is such a subjective thing. Personally, I never saw any big difference in attitude. He was always a very laid back guy. The talk was more about how much work he did in the weight room. Or at least that's how I heard it. Griffey wasn't the hardest worker in there b/c he was so naturally talented and the younger guys on most teams are influenced by how hard the best player works.
