October 16, 201213 yr Author There was a time when I first moved here and really until 2008 that VA ALWAYS went to the GOP without so much as a hesitation. I've always said the GOP needs to get a handle on why they could not keep states that formerly were solidly in their camp and not even Bill Clinton could move them. Yep. :thumb:

October 31, 201213 yr OK, I'm officially ready for the race to conclude. I'm not thankful for Sandy and my prayers are with those suffering, but it has been nice having the campaign coverage come to a halt.

November 2, 201213 yr Most reliable poll I use is BGH. The more likely it looks like Romney, the more nervous he gets and the more threads "whistling past the graveyard" he starts. Bet we see 5-10 a day for the next 5 days.

He's the first of the Republican talking heads to start hedging their bets but I suspect there will be many on the Sunday morning shows this week.

November 2, 201213 yr Matthew Dowd, Republican and former chief strategist for President Bush said on Good Morning America today that the election is clearly breaking for President Obama and that the Romney ad buys in PA and WI were a hail marys because he is falling further behind in OH. He's the first of the Republican talking heads to start hedging their bets but I suspect there will be many on the Sunday morning shows this week. I think the storm helped Obama. I am not however insinuating he is happy because of the storm. He has handled it pretty well and Gov Christie hasn't hurt him either. It also got the mess in Libya off of the radar.
