The real need for the lights stems from the fact that the practices and games for all the sports happen in the heat of the day, especially on Saturdays, and due to the KHSAA restrictions, lights give them the best opportunities and flexibility to practice and play.

I totally agree. In that post, though, I was just asking when it was that the Highlands folks brought the cannon to Park Hills. I've heard a lot of people talk about when it happened but I have no idea when it actually took place.

There is just something about playing under the lights that got me more pumped up while I played. I'm not going to lie, I didn't like the Saturday afternoon games much. The atmosphere just wasn't there, the crowd didn't feel as rowdy and I was always tired from waking up so dang early. I really don't think it was much of an advantage for the Colonels like some may think.

 

Side note, the players are probably going to seriously miss the breakfast spread that Mrs. R and the parents put together for Saturday games. It was awesome.

True...but as much effort as they went to, I'd guess it would be tough getting the football moms to turn out to help just for films.

Well you don't have a TV station over to the school to talk about having lights in the near future for nothing! The mayor of Park Hills to me at least, gave me a the biggest reason to think it's very close to a done deal!

Would certainly seem that it's a go. Also having the new crew out there makes me think they've also got some of the financial planning taken care of as well; did they mention that any in the news segment?
