Per Cov Cath, the NKAPC has officially changed Wooten Field from being zoned as "conditional use residential zone" to being zoned "institutional". That change will now permit stadium lighting on the property.

 

The initial post in this thread is slightly misleading in saying that the City of Park Hills has given approval to CovCath to install lights - it is more accurate to say that they gave their blessing for Cov Cath to pursue the zoning change, but that now, Cov Cath will have to bring the approved zoning change before the Park Hills city council and apply for permission to install the lights.

I'm gonna go with slim and none. If they put in an order for the lighting equipment this morning, it's not gonna be ready until sometime in August. I don't see them trying to install lights in a stadium around soccer and football practices (and games).

Congratulations! We have played two freshman games @ CC and had both shortened because of darkness.

I believe we still have some final hurdles to make it over as far as finishing up getting all of the necessary funding as well, if I'm not mistaken.
