Kudos to the Board, Capital Budget Committie, Boosters, Bishop or whoever else prioritizes what is done with the Capital money. They produce great people and they shouldn't change a thing.

No implications. I do not know what is/was holding up the money, but I'm certain whatever decisons are made, are made in the best interest of ALL students.

I've been told by folks in the know that Bishop Foys has (finally) given his approval for Cov Cath to proceed with their current improvement plans for the campus....including lights and a new grandstand/pressbox. This has been the longstanding last hurdle in the path towards lighting up Wooten Field.

Essentially it started out as its own project, and then was lumped into a larger campus improvement campaign.

I understand your situation but nothing is better than Friday night lights, the college boys play on Saturday.

It's just not about playing games as I have said before, it's also about being able to practice and the soccer team being able to play a game on the same day or the Freshmen parents not having to get off work early, to see them play starting at 5pm later in the season.

 

It's about being able to host a championship Freshmen game, instead of having it have to be played at some other location, or hosting a soccer district or Regional game without it having to start at 5pm or earlier.

 

BTW the CovCath Beechwood game that was to be played at CovCath this season is being played at Beechwood instead! Why? With out lights at CovCath, the game had to be changed to Beechwood to allow the Fox Sports Network to televise the game.

 

So understand installing lights at CovCath just isn't being done just so the Colonels can play under the lights on Friday night.

This is awesome news for CovCath and it will certainly be weird playing Football in Park Hills at nite.

 

I wonder how the crowd letout after a huge capacity game will affect Dixie Hwy after dark.

Certainly will be some concerns and challenges for Park Hills finest to address from a safety standpoint...

My thinking is a little different than yours!

 

I think of all the restaurants along the Dixie HWY and in the area surrounding CovCath, raking in some major dollars from Skyline to the more upscale bars and restaurants enjoying the students and adults instead of going home, spending a few hours and some dollars, having a nice evening out.

Why would you change anything? The most important thing for the school is to Turn-Out great Christian young men. They do that like no other shcool in NKY. .

 

Schools do not "produce" good or bad kids. CCH has great kids. They also have turds.
