Predators 3 Sabres 2 (NHL)

Recommended Posts

The Preds won a seesaw battle in Buffalo, last night.

P.K. Subban ricocheted a shot off Craig Smith to open the scoring, but the Sabres answered to leave the score 1-1 after 1.

In the second, Subban did what he does best, knocking a Buffalo pass out of the air, driving it down the ice, and blasting the puck past Carter Hutton to put Nashville up 2-1. The Sabres scored with 5 seconds left in the period to tie it up 2-2 after 2.

Victor Arvidsson missed the goal with a slap shot, in the third period, but Ryan Johansen was right there to backhand the puck coming off the boards behind the goal and into the net for the game winner.

Winnipeg lost and the Blues were idle, so Nashville pulls back into a tie with the Jets in points for first in the Central. St. Louis is 2 points back. However, Winnipeg holds the tie breaker over the Preds and the Blues.

The Blues play in Chicago, this evening.

The Jets and Predators have 2 games left. St. Louis 3.
