swamprat
Sergei Bobrovski saves 38 shots, grabs the NHL lead in shutouts with his ninth of the season, and Columbus wins its 5th straight in Buffalo. Seth Jones threw the puck at the Buffalo net midway through the first period and Pierre-Luc Dubois tapped it in to start the scoring. Next, Oliver Bjorkstrand rifled a slapshot past Linus Ullmark for a power play goal. Nick Foligno tried a wrap around that glanced off a defenders skate and in to give the Jackets a 3-0 lead after 1. Josh Anderson completed the scoring on a wrist shot with 4 1/2 left in the 2nd. Carolina lost and Montreal was idle so Columbus pulls 2 points ahead of the Canadians, 1 point ahead of the Hurricanes, and into the #1 Wild Card spot. Everybody is even, now. The Jackets, Canes, and Habs all have 3 games left. The Jackets host Boston, Carolina is in Toronto, and Montreal gets a visit from Tampa Bay, Tuesday night.
