A real pitcher's dual. Schlinger went the distance for the Tigers with 5 K's & 1 BB. Both pitchers gave up just 4 hits and one earned run each

2 errors made the difference.

Beechwood's offense averages over eight runs per game, something (Coach) Gray attributes to an aggressive style of play at the plate and on the base-paths. Junior John Odom is fifth in the state in stolen bases (23) and seventh in runs scored (29). Logan Castleman, who scored 18 touchdowns on the gridiron last season, ranks right behind Odom in both categories with 19 swiped bags and 27 runs.

"We've got a pretty quick team and we have a style," Gray said. "We run, we hit-and-run, we steal; we try to put as much pressure on the defense as we can."
