WhatsBestForTheGirls
Awesome coverage by James Weber of the Enquirer and Jeremy Rauch of Fox 19 highlighting the momentous shot for senior Madison Perry. After being sidelined with an ACL injury at the end of December, she needed 45 points to reach a career 1000. In late January, utilizing an extensive knee brace, Madison sporadically returned to the court to finish what she started as a 7th grader. The team implemented strategy specifically for the few minutes Madison entered a game to protect and allow a 3pt shot from her comfort zone. Madison finally reached 999 and was set before a home crowd to record that final point. She sinks a 3 on the first shot of the game versus Bellevue and the celebration erupts. It was a poignant moment for Madison's family, teammates, and coaches knowing what it took for her to get back on the court.
