ATLCat
From deep in the heart of Booger Branch, KY comes The Swami. Last year he honored us with his presence as he predicted individual outcomes for team's seasons. This year he has agreed to dust off his crystal ball and share his weekly predictions for Class 2A each week. If you have a specific 2A game that is not included, feel free to ask and we can see if the Swami can calibrate his sooth saying and offer a bonus pick just for you. Remember folks, this is all in fun... knowing the future can be hard to handle. So please save all hate mail, bomb threats, and general ill wishes until the Swami returns to Booger Branch at season's end for his yoga and meditation. Without further ado.... #1 Danville vs. 4A Knox Central Load the cannons and anchor down, The Ads aren’t messing around. The Panthers will travel to the ville of the Dan, But the #1 team will once again stand. The going may be a grind against KC’s Eleven, But give me Danville 28-7. PREDICTION: DANVILLE #2 CAL vs. 6A Eastern They step up in class and enrollment size, But the Christian clan has another W in their eyes. The defending champs will have no issue mopping the floor, The Defense reigns supreme and even puts up a score. The constant pressure will have Eastern on their knees, Give me CAL to win by at least 4 TD’s PREDICTION: CAL #3 LCA at 1A Pikeville Load up the bus! We are going on a drive! A Saturday showdown in the E-K-Y. Pikeville has some history, but don’t be a fool, It is a rebuilding year for the Independent School. LCA has too many athletes, too many weapons in stock. LCA wins easily, barely missing a running clock. PREDICTION: LCA #4 DeSales vs. 6A Butler The Colts are making a habit of taking on the Jefferson County bigs. For a second straight week their fans will celebrate with an Irish Catholic jig. DeSales might have found their Offense and the Defense is always stout, Butler will test their mettle and keep the game in doubt. When it’s all said and done DeSales will find a rally, They will pull out the W by a single tally. PREDICTION: DESALES #5 Mayfield at 4A Hopkinsville Though they must go on the road to snap the pigskin leather, “Stadium of Champions” seems to fit Mayfield better. Hoptown has injuries and questions abound. Mayfield is answering questions and are one of the best around. The Tigers will score points, but Mayfield will score more. They ice it and pull away and win by 21 or 24. PREDICTION: MAYFIELD #6 Owensboro Catholic vs. Evansville Reitz, IN Thus far this year the Hoosiers have been owned by the Bluegrass. OCath needs an impressive showing to remain at the top of the class. This will be a war, the Panthers are one of the best across the border. Catholic showed against Daviess they need to get their Pass D in order. This game will go back and forth, a late score by Reitz takes it toll, Unfortunately for Catholic they come up short and do not have the Ace in the hole. PREDICTION: REITZ #7 Newport Central Catholic vs. 6A Cooper The Breds D stood tall and made up for a lack of scores, They now catch a Cooper team who is feeling mighty sore. Cooper is not their normal form, but they still have solid pieces. NewCath will need some Offensive balance to free Kelly in the creases. Though the Breds keep it closer than the previous couple years, Cooper has just a little too much and leave the NCC Cheerleaders in tears. PREDICTION: COOPER #8 Walton-Verona at 1A Kentucky Country Day Two programs on the rise, a small class game of note. Two teams who love for their RB to carry the tote. Expect points to be scored, and momentum to shift. KCD’s big TE will surely give them a lift. In the end the size of Dub-Vee is a little too much, The Bearcats come up with a long drive to win it in the clutch. PREDICTION: WALTON-VERONA #9 Glasgow at 3A Bardstown The Scotties have a thing for playing teams who won a lot last year, But those same teams are much younger and their mental errors are clear. Against Russellville the Scotties made the big plays late, They will need it again to secure the same fate. Bardstown has talent and will surely keep it close, Glasgow wins a tight one and their confidence further grows. PREDICTION: GLASGOW #10 Somerset at 1A Williamsburg Rabbits have first step explosion and quickness when they begin, Against Bourbon County that speed disappeared at the end. Williamsburg has experience and their hopes run sky high, Hosting on their homefield you can expect favorable flags to high. A Southern Kentucky showdown almost too close to call, But the home standing Yellowjackets are the ones kneeling on the ball. PREDICTION: WILLIAMSBURG

DevilMayCare
The Swami's return has surpassed expectation These lyrical stylings are quite the inspiration His wisdom and foresight know no bounds His vast football knowledge continues to astound What will be his record when Week 1 is over? Will his picks be praised, or will they just be mediocre?
