That will not get it done at a high level. They better up the ainty up if they want to run with the big dogs. I know in the opposite district Bell has 8 paid asst. 3 are former head coaches and 3 more will be future head coaches. If you want a bigtime program you have to be willing to fund it.

I agree. JD is very capable of playing FB but he is too valuable to play both. He would take a beating inflicted by himself with the constant contact by playing LB/FB. Brown would look to be the FB in 09.

That maybe the best idea. Keep the atmosphere but lose the danger.

Somethings are more important than sound effects for a football game. I trust the HHS administration will do the right thing.

#32 Justin Goodin. Maybe the best FB to wear the Bell uniform. Good running the ball and a great blocker. Maybe one of the hardest postions for the 09 team to replace. Very few players will scrafice thier body for the good of the team. Goodin was one of those type players. He could have easily had 1,000+ yards for many teams. Instead b/c of his leadership and play he and his team will have a ring. :thumb::thumb:

By looking at the Boyle roster it appears that they return 3 or 4 starters on offense and 4 on defense (including the younger Hester which started 1 game). Is that right Rebel fans????

Nice win for the Hounds. Sounds like Tony has them playing as a team. That is what it takes to beat SL. We will be an interesting year in the 13th.

SL by 8-10. Too much for the Pups. I think Corbin will struggle to find good shots against SL.

BE changed the offense and the man calling the plays. They also moved some kids into different postions. The RB was a TE before the change, and he was a horse for that offense. Very strong and ran hard. A perfect fit for the Wishbone. Not take nothing away from BE but Bell played as bad as any Bell team has in years in the first 1 1/2 quarters of the game. Played off of their heels if you know what I mean? Seemed very tight and timid. That in itself made BE look even better. In the second Half they dominated but still did not score on couple of redzone possesions. BE had ZERO 1st downs in the 2nd half until 4 minutes left in the 4th.

I disagree. :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper: Whitley ran the ball at will on HHS in the early going fell behind and had to throw. Neither Whitley, JCHS, or Christain Co. played defense like Bell. Granted Bell played terrible in the finals but I would think if they faced HHS they would have played at the top of their game in the Final or Semi's however it would have stacked up. They really overlooked BE I belive. Much like HHS overlooked Bryan Station.

Bell and HHS would be a great game. Keep in mind Bell dismantled Whitley in easier fashion than HHS did. So don't be so hasty in your assumption. Central could not beat either nor could Ft. Campbell although they would be a good test for either. If Whitley or JC could have thrown the ball ANY HHS would have been lucky to escape with a win.

How many total starters does Boyle return? I know they have a few but not many. Bell returns 15 players that started during the 08 championship game!!!!!

If Bell's QB had hit the open man on the first drive they would have been up 7-0 and the game may have been different. Or if Merrick had hit the Field Goal and put Bell up 3-0. Or if Zachery had got in on the 3QB sneak's on the 1 yard-line or IF Simpson caught the pass in the Endzone Bell would have tied the game at 7-7 or 14-7 (see earlier IF). Bottom line lots of plays could have changed the game. They did not happen. It was a wonderful game and I feel the players for both teams played thier hearts out. :thumb:

I think he has an outstanding staff. This season could not happen to a more deserving group. They are great football players, wonderful students and even better kids. :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

As Brad Posted earlier Bell will return many talented players. Jr. class is very good as well as the Soph. They will be loaded with 3 year starters next year. 3 starters back on the O-line, TE, and WR return as well with 1 of the HB's Carton. On defense they will return 3 of the D-line, both DE's, 1 LB and 2 CB's.

Man your brother is a horse!! BE is always a class act with Settles and now Preston. I have heard he is a heck of baseball player. Is he going somewhere to play college Baseball?

Good job by BE of playing hard. Bell did make it MUCH harder than it had to be. Anyone that thinks Bell played even close to good football in the 1st half is kidding themselves. Not to take anything away from BE but Bell was very tight acting, very nervous. Things that they usually execute on they did not. 1st and goal at the 1 and don't get in??? That was not Bell Co. Glad to see them change some things in the second half and fly around with some excitement instead of walking on egg shells. The underclassmen really stepped up for them in the 2nd half. Brown, Hilton, and Carton all in the Soph. class had huge games.

Great job Bobcats!!!!! Very proud of them. Had some bad breaks in the 1st half including 2 times inside the 10 with ZERO points. They overcame it in the 2nd and played some good football. Change in defense in the 2nd half was the difference. Keith Lowe's play on the screen pass, when he tackled the reciever in the endzone was the play of the game IMO. Bell had some great SR. leadership and they will be missed. Those seniors only lost 1 game in the last 2 years. Bell completes their 1st undefeated season ever!!!!!!!

Less than 15 hours away. Can't wait to see what turns out.

I think a bunch of people that have not seen Bell will be suprised how athletic they are at all postions. :thumb::thumb: Not sure were Bell practiced at the last 2 days? I went down yesterday and today to see how preperation was going and could not find them.

Pleased to see 3 Bell Co. Bobcats on the AP team. As a bunch others on here I have complaints as well. If there is 8 DL better than Bell's Harbin I would love to see theml!!!! He is one of the better ones I have seen in a long time. Also how can the RB from Rockcastle not be on it somewhere. He lead the team in rushing and tackles for the past two seasons.

Keep in mind Bell has faced a bunch of good backs the past couple of seasons and none have hurt Bell running the ball. It will be tough to run the ball on this group. The opposing backs take a beating against this Bell Defense.
