Interested to see what the results of six classes has done. Who wouldn't have titles if it was still four?

Well, wouldn't it depend a lot on what division teams were placed, especially 2A through 5A?

^ Say it is based upon their previous classification before splitting up in to 6 classifications.

Based on 2006 classifications:

 

4A Trinity (over Simon Kenton and Christian County)

3A Highlands (over Central, Bell County, Bullitt East (?))

2A Fort Campbell (over Breathitt County)

1A Newport Central Catholic (over Beechwood, Hazard)

To answer the question, I believe only 3 would have won, and one of this year's losers would have won.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Bell County and Louisville Central don't. If either was slotted in 3A, where it seems Louisville Central would be and perhaps Bell as well, they wouldn't beat Highlands. I don't know that either could beat Fort Campbell. But with 4 classes I'd say Highlands and Trinity remain locks.

I will agree with all except I would love to see Beechwood and NCC play again. I do think NCC should be favored but I just am not sure they are better than Beechwood this year.

 

I think the other interesting battle ground would be 3A. Highlands vs. Central would be a great one to see.

Well, since they played late in the regular season, I don't think there would've been much of a change in the playoffs.

I agree, just as in the past, this would have been a great game. I would love to see Bell get to make the treck to Ft. Thomas some day.

You should have come over to Ft Thomas to see it. It wasn't close. In fact it was a shut-out, 28-0 on November 7th.

Bell and HHS would be a great game. Keep in mind Bell dismantled Whitley in easier fashion than HHS did. So don't be so hasty in your assumption. Central could not beat either nor could Ft. Campbell although they would be a good test for either.

 

If Whitley or JC could have thrown the ball ANY HHS would have been lucky to escape with a win.
