  1. I think Tilghman is a Top-10 team, they just have caught an extremely difficult early schedule. At 1-3 I just couldn't rank them, although I believe they will turn it around shortly. Although Caldwell and O.Catholic are just 2-2, that looks a lot better than 1-3. Additionally, I believe if Tilghman were to play Fulton City or Caldwell they would win, but they haven't. I have Ft. Campbell at 8 and Tilghman could be 9 or 10 right now, I just went with teams with better records.
  2. I have to nominate my guy Ty Sparks again. He rushed for 403 yards against a tough Mad. Central team. He had 45 carries for 403 yards(#15) in state history. 2 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion. Ty is a 5'8 165 pound SR. at Tates Creek.
  3. Is Green Co., eligible for the poll?
  4. 1. Mayfield 2. Trigg Co. 3. Glasgow 4. O. Catholic 5. Russellville 6. McLean Co. 7. Metcalfe Co. 8. Ft. Campbell 9. Fulton City 10. Caldwell Co.
  5. 1. Bowling Green 2. Owensboro 3. Christian Co. 4. Waren East 5. Madisonville 6. Lone Oak 7. Apollo/Graves Co. 8. Marshall Co. 9. Warren Central 10. Franklin Simpson
  6. Ty Sparks has heart, and although TC's season has been a little disappointing this young man truly cares and never gives up. He's a super guy, who's tough as nails.
  7. To me this is not a surprise this year. LaSalle has an amazing running back, lines and WR.
  8. Boyle Co. just doesn't have the size they used to. I was shocked when I saw how small they were tonight. Boyle also lacks speed. They had no chance of getting the corner tonight. Lafayette dominated both sides of the ball. I don't know what Boyle's strength and conditioning program is like, but they got pushed around and looked gassed. This year's Boyle team has no one that remotely resembles the Quinn's, Leffew's, Tamme's, Duggins', Overtstreet's and others of years past. Boyle needs to downgrade the schedule for a couple of years till they get things straightened out. The psychological boost from winning will be immense.

  18. Trinity will win in a battle. 24-21.
  19. Sometimes I think people get caught up in the hype too much. A 45-14 score is rediculous. Lafayette can play some defense. Having seen both them and Henry Clay play, Lafayette has better line play, especially on defense, just not Aaron Boyd. Bunch has a better arm than Philipi but he's not as quick. Lafayette 24 Boyle Co. 21
  20. Ty Sparks 5'8 165 SR. Tates Creek, 284 yards, 5 TD's, in TC's 54-48 2OT win vs. GRC
  21. Henry Clay had at least 25 more dressed guys tonight, but LaSalle was in much better shape, and it was noticeable. Also Henry Clay is very small on the DL. The punter for HC is also not very good. The kicker for LaSalle was excellent. An honest assesment of Henry Clay tells me that they are good, but are no threat to Trinity(They also could get knocked off by Scott Co., or Mad. Central if those guys come to play.(3rd round). The don't play any D, and the dropoff between the 1's and 2's is very noticeable. In comparing them to Lafayette they are better but only slightly.
  22. LaSalle would have won by 60 if Aaron Boyd didn't play for Henry Clay. He had TD catches of 72 and 62 yards. Chandler Burden(LaSalle) had 2 sacks and was unblockable. J.K. Schaeffer a LaSalle LB literally knocked two HC guys out of the game. The LaSalle OL MANHANDLED Henry Clay. The drove the DL at least 4 yards off the ball. Devier Posey did not start on D, but played a lot especially in the 2nd and 3rd. LaSalle had no answer for Boyd he dominated #8 Cole, and Posey, neither was quick enough or tall enough to man up on Boyd. other Observations: Henry Clay needs to do a couple tackling drills, they missed tackles all night long. Kendall Owens is the best HS running back I have seen since I played against Eric Shelton, Owens is not as big, but has excellent speed and the best vision I have ever seen in an HS running back. Nigel Wells played a very admirable game for HC he totally neutralized big #73 for LaSalle. Dontey Gay and Tyler Hooker were both hurt tonight, and I am not sure of the severity. Basically outside of Pass D LaSalle dominated.
  23. Me neither, but with the proliferation of channels like ESPNU and Rivals.com, I've started to follow recruiting more and more, and they always have so many I just gradually learned more and more.
  24. Kendall Owens had about 300 yards rushing and 4TD's. Also I'm saying it right now, when Aaron Boyd wants to be he is the best WR in the state. LaSalle could not stop him, not even Devier Posey. Also if Kendall Owens played for St. Xavier or Colerain he would be on every scout in the nation's radar.
  25. 284 yards and 5 TD's for Ty Sparks tonight.
