I am team no one, I think John got a bad deal, all from an AD that was searching for anything to get rid of him and not have to pay the buy out. If UC had plenty of reasons and causes to fire him (as you state), they wouldn't have offered a seven figure buyout? I hope John takes them to the shed, as I would anyone who was treated the way he was. I never once said Fickell would leave because Brannen was fired and I will leave it at that.

Good, I hope John gets every last penny he is owed from UC. The way this whole process has gone down tells you a whole lot about Cunningham. There is no reason the head basketball coach at a major university is not reporting to the athletic director. It is obvious Cunningham did not have a fondness for John and saw an opportunity to get rid of him. Stay strong John, get every last penny you can. Cunningham may want to start looking for a football coach, Fickell will be leaving after this year.

I don't dispute that at all, hence my point he is not UK material and never would have been. Cal is dependent on the guards that can create for themselves and others (his offense is rather outdated and needs some updating), Askew does neither. He created for the other team with his turnovers and air balls. It was a huge swing and miss when Cal gambled their season on him running the show. Then you throw Boston in next to him and this team had no chance.

Ok, which means he is 6'1" at most. He got abused all year long and you could see he was not going to cut it from the first game. Not his fault, totally on Cal for putting all his eggs in Askew basket. Just like Quade Green several years ago, he is not a high level D-I guard. I believe a perfect place for him is a school like NKU. He can go to UCLA, with the year they had, the kid will be the 12th man on that team the next 3 years. They are going to be loaded from here on out, Mick can coach and recruit. Calipari has to have a dominant guard for his teams to go anywhere and Askew was never going to be that, hence the reason I am sure he was told or saw the writing on the wall.

To me a perfect spot would be a school like NKU, just doesn't have the size for a high level school.

What a clown show, this is utterly ridiculous! So does he have to sit his sophomore year in football (played varsity for CCH) and basketball (played varsity for NCC)? If so, is he still eligible to practice?

Utterly RIDICULOUS! I watched pretty much everyone of my brothers games when he was a senior and won the state baseball championship and those were some of the best memories of my life. With this stupid rule in place I would not have been able to watch many of the games, as my parents would have used the 2 tickets as is. People have had enough and are tired of being controlled. Let people make the decisions for themselves, if you are worried about sitting outside at a game and catching COVID, stay home, let us live our lives.

If you run over a guy, even after blocking a shot, the foul should be called. A foul is a foul, no matter when it occurs. Do I fault the refs, absolutely not, CCH had opportunities to build on their lead to end the game and didn't execute.

Bang, bang as in Vieth running over Isparo. There was clear, hard contact and the foul should have been called. However, CCH has no one to blame but themselves. Can't miss free throws and wide open layups. On the final play, CCH first made a mistake when the inbounds pass was thrown to Isparo and he was going the wrong way. Would love to have seen him what happened if he catches the ball and his momentum is going the proper way.

Wonder if it was up to the CCH coach if they would have moved the game to Holmes? I get the point to try and get more people there and the atmosphere was great, but why give away home court advantage if you do not have to? Guess we will never know if it made a difference.

CCH with some missed free throws and a wide open missed layup down the stretch. The Crusaders Seniors stepped up and were not going to let them lose. Shea with some huge shots down the stretch. Can't overstate the value of senior leadership. Cov Cath was not playing their best basketball at the end of the season when it all mattered.

I get the fan approach to this decision, if that is the reason and CCH benefits financially from this decision. I am not sure how the finances are split up? This will most likely allow more CCH fans to attend in person. I honestly think CCH is more than eager to exact revenge on St. Henry and it won't matter the court the game is played on. CCH just played their last two games at Holmes, them and HC should be the most comfortable of any of the teams in the tournament at Holmes. Right now the goal is to survive and advance, you would think you would want to play the game in the gym you practice at everyday, if given the option? In my opinion, St. Henry playing on their own home court was a big reason they pulled out the win in the first game.

Why would Cov Cath agree to this, you would think it would be an advantage playing on their home court?

I am impressed with Holy Cross, they have a lot of talent. There are times though when things do not go their way and they seem to quit for a little bit and get really frustrated. I know of at least two instances last night when this occurred and CCH went on some nice runs before HC was able to regroup. I know the kids are in high school, but they act like that next week, it could be the difference in the game.
