Was the catcher that caught this game their regular catcher? He had a very hard time hanging on to the ball, all game long.

Ryle's Center Fielder played a very nice game in the field! Lots of mistakes for CCH. Twice they had 2nd and 3rd with no outs and failed to score.

Better chance he is a Cardinal or playing minor league ball? Never seen him pitch, but I imagine he will hear his name pretty early in the draft.

CCH really missed Heppler in this one. He was the difference in the first game. Had no matchup for Weyer. Had to put Cole on him and I truly believe it wore him down. His shot was very flat the last couple shots he took. NCC more physical in this game and that happens when you have Seniors versus Sophomores. Congrats NCC you deserved the victory!

Both games were hard to watch. Besides Dixie's band (which was very good), there was not much flow to the games for fans to get excited about. Even the student sections seemed to be rather bored. That is 9th Region basketball, grind it out, survive and advance.

Shout out to the Cooper Jags and Coach Sullivan on a great season and for not giving up last night, even though it would have been easy to. If I have a kid, that is one coach I would want him to play for! He just gets it and the way he coaches his players up is rare to see. Also wanted to give a shout out to the NCC coaching staff. After the game, a couple of the coaches pulled McNeil aside and spent some time talking to him.

If I am HC, then yes, I vote my team number 1. I beat CCH and I would vote my team number 1. If the rolls were reversed, you think Coach R and CCH would have voted HC number 1, NO WAY!

So you need to get there around 3:30 PM to get in to the games? Sad there are going to be some great games and there will be many fans that won't get to watch.

Was very impressed with Cooper. First time watching McNeil and he is a stud. Top to bottom, Cooper is best team I have seen in the 9th Region up to this point. Kunkel is very good as well, very nice jumper and he can take it to the hole.

Seemed to play a lot more minutes than normal tonight and came up big!

Props to Heppler, he played a great game tonight. Not a lot of points but he is the one guy CCH has that can bang with Weyer and boy did he. He flat wore him down. My game ball goes to Heppler for doing the dirty work. He can be a big asset for CCH down the stretch.

I am unaware of who has ties with whom, all I did was bring up something that looked awkward to myself and others. I guess it is good the Region will be referred with refs from other regions, you wouldn't want all those ties to influence a game. And before you jump down my throat, I never insinuated that was the case last night. It just does not seem to be professional to be standing around, shooting bull with whomever, 3 hours before you are to referee such an important game.

A couple of the CCH guys had to sit behind the bench in the fan section for a while.

Is there a limit on number of players and coaches a team can have in the District and Regional tournaments? I only ask because CCH had 7 coaches on the bench and HC had 18 players dressed last night. There wasn't enough seats for either team to accommodate all of those people.

Don't show up at 430, show up during the JV game, 2 hours later. Why does a varsity ref need to be there at 430? You have Freshmen game, then you have a 30 minute break, then the JV game starts. That is a lot of time to stand around and say hello to all of his friends you say he has. Unnecessary, if your professional, go watch basketball on the nights your not working a varsity game.

CCH will be fine. If there is a rematch, I look for them to handle the pick and roll better. HC will have to develop more of a bench because it will come back to bite them.

I have made my point, no need to sit here and argue with you. What we saw we believed to be unprofessional. That is only reason it was brought up.

At 430 for a 730 game? I guarantee they don't normally get there that early. But as your buddy Clyde said, Mr. Chap pie knows everyone and prolly wanted to make his rounds.
