Ten Times Four

Not trying to start any rumors, but I've heard this 3 times already.They supposedly gave his wife a job and now Dudley is set to retire from Bell Co. this week and be named the new coach at Harlan Co. Has anyone else heard this?

Highlands without a doubt. I didn't see Trinity or ST. X play, but I watched Highlands in the State Championship game and they were TOUGH!!!

Its tough for a mountain team to make the trip up there. I had to do it in 1995. We beat them in the Thoroughbred Bowl, but had to make the trip up there for the state semi's and I think the trip made all the difference. That and losing 2 tailbacks. Oh yeah, and Justin Frisk. I can still hear that cannon.

Both of Middlesboro's QB's are hurt. Gilbert and Adams were hurt. Adam's was on crutches at the end of the Leslie Co. game. They're lucky Leslie's seniors didn't care if they won or lost. Kinda looked like a throwed game there for a while. During a stretch in the first half, Middlesboro had 340 some odd yards on 9 carries. I think they're just too banged up to go to Corbin and give them a game. But watch out for them next year. Should be the pre-season district favorite.

Is Adams playing? Leslie is a team that just doesn't know how to win. North Laurel had 148 total yards last week and Leslie lost 30-13. This team is just so young.

We've played them both, so, I'm telling you which line is the best. Thats no offense to Bell.

I can tell you this for sure. Leslie basically takes a JV team to the field every game. They have some seniors, but most don't play. Sophomores make up a large part of the starting rotation on both sides. They're taking they're lumps, but will be good in the future. Now, Bell Co. is all class. First class players, first class coach. Players never talk trash and are extremely humble. Corbin is the same way. If these two teams were to play, I'd give the edge to Bell Co. Their special teams and skill position players are better than Corbin's in my opinion. Corbin's line is a lot better than Bell Co's. I've seen Leslie play both, and I think this is a fair assessment.

Leslie Co. starts mostly sophomores. There are six that start, 5 on defense. #83 Cody Hensley, #16 Matt Asher, #27 Lance Coots, #25 Dustin Ballard, #59 Casey Jones, and #61 Randen Collett. They're taking their lumps right now, but look out next year and especially the year after. 18 coming in from middle school, alot of talent. All hold backs.

Excellent crowd!!! Leslie really has turned it on. The coaches are sisters(which are both beautiful) and have really done a great job keeping the girls pumped up and playing great!!!

I think it all depends on if Sheldon Clark can defend the pass. We know they can defend the run, its the pass that Bell will kill them with. I think if Sheldon Clark can move the ball on the ground and control the clock. It could be a ballgame.

Did Middlesboro have 7 Turnovers? I also heard it was close in the 3rd quarter. 20-15 or something like that.

Counting chickens before their hatched sometimes creates laxed attitudes. I think they still need to play one game at a time.

Hunter Adams is their big play guy. Brennan Bowling is coming off an injury, but had a big game against Clay. If Corbin can pick up the Middlesboro blitz, they should easily win this game. Middlesboro's offense is tough to handle, because the veer is hard to stop. But with the right preparation, it can be done. This team is no where near the team from last year, because there isn't a passing game at all. Stop Adams, game over.

The Watts kid will get his yards. If Knox doesn't find a way to throw the ball, they will be in trouble. McCreary has a pretty good run defense, its the pass they can't stop.
