  1. Can someone clarify if rain-out days do not count as pitcher rest days??:confused:
  2. I too am surprised and quite frankly disappointed in TOG. I usually look forward to his detailed, often biased, but normally accurate reporting of games. You get the "good" the "bad" and details of both teams hitting, etc. Not tonight......just banter, excuses, and what-ifs??? And to the comment by someone on the CCH players being exhausted from working on he field.....give me a break. With the weather that all teams have experienced, every team has spent many hours prior to games getting fields ready. Suck it up and play....if not cancel the game beforehand if that is your concern. Nice win Ryle and tough loss Cov. Cath. Move on to the Districts.
  3. Lokeypokey you started this thread......let's hear from you and maybe you can bring some new thoughts to this discussion. I bet it has to do with CF and RF of a team dressed in light blue. They are not too bad.
  4. Maybe "Camel 1505" could arrange to have the whole thing moved to the hill in Campbell County......
  5. Could you post updated times of remaining games today? Thanks.
  6. Makes sense. Another scenario is: 1 v (3 v 5 winner) 2 v 4 The #1 still gets benefit of playing the winner of the lower seeded teams. Does anyone know if there are established seeding rules?
  7. Understood that was the match-up...but my question was should #2 be playing #4 or #5, not #3 in a seeding format? Thanks.
  8. How did the match-ups get set? Seeding wise Conner,Ryle,Boone,St.Henry,Heritage...in that order. Conner gets the bye as #1. Should #2 Ryle be playing #3 Boone? Just curious?
  9. Any details on this game? How does Lexington Catholic compare to the other Lexington teams?
  10. What was the field condition for the Campbell Co./Harrison Co. game? I assume it was playable and to your liking? :thumb::thumb:
  11. Who pitched for Highlands? Where is Towles in their rotation?
  12. Wow......does anyone have more info on this game??
  13. I personally know someone that happened to be at CC High School around 3:00 and drove completely around the field. Players in full Camel game uniforms were on the field practicing and it was definitely playable. The sun was out and the weather was great at that time. That person was not sure if it was JV or Varsity. If it walks like a duck....quacks like a duck.....it is usually a DUCK... Could it be some "ducking" was going on????
  14. Good job on your update thread....just like being there.
  15. DD someone who was there mentioned to me that one of the Dingers was not a solo shot? I want to make sure my namesakes are properly recorded. Can someone clarify and give more details on the game. Since CCHS or Beechwood were not playing I am sure we will see little about the game in the paper.
  16. Still no detail from TOG on this game? Could it be he is not only a "little heavy on the Malie stuff" but also on CCH wins and not the losses? The Enquirer reporting seemed to follow the same pattern this week? Anyone else notice the same thing?
  17.:sleep: I am getting sleepy waiting on TOG to finish eating and to file his fine report on the good, bad, and ugly of this game. Going to bed....guess I will have to wait until tomorrow...
  18. I would hope some of the "baseball experts" on this wonderful website could clear up Dandy's question on transfers?? Can you dress varsity as long as you don't play etc. Could someone please review the rules? I have heard that (CCHS) Isler's little brother is a freshman at Ryle... does that mean he can transfer to CCHS without penalty of time off and loss of eligibility as long as he hasn't entered a varsity game?
  19. With the weather any word on games left over from the tourney that may be played today?
  20. With the wind blowing and from the score it appears that a slugfest was going on.... did the Farris kid from Boone Co. come close to hitting any Dingers?
  21. For anyone that was there...what is the current status of the Scott Knockelman Tourney? Is it still cancelled? Are they playing today and on Sunday just to get games in? I too like Preps for the updated info. If they play tomorrow I assume everyone will be in winter snow gear.
  22. I have seen the St. Henry's baseball complex.....can someone tell me why girl's softball and baseball in NKY suffers compared to this facility, and many in the state for that matter? I wonder if any of the Ryle money is going to improve at least one other quality softball/baseball facility with proper drainage, lights, seating, and other facilities that could be used by all in the area. Most football fields have lights, tracks have proper surfaces, and soccer, football, track, and cross-country can be held in bad weather much easier than softball and baseball. I hope Ryle, and others involved in these type fundraisers, share the wealth. Shame on them if they don't. It is amazing that NKY has competed as well as it has in softball and baseball with such poor facilities. It is embarrassing compared to what you see in many areas of the metropolitan area and the state.
  23. Thanks for the update. Good luck to all the teams in Nashville!
