I'll give my thoughts on th twoi games tomorrow....gotta be back here at the field by 10:30 a.m. for 2 NKU games and 2 more high school games tomorrow night.

Ryle was hammered by a team that committed EIGHT fielding errors! Very few timely base hits with RISP and no gap shots (seven singles) off an East Central pitcher that was very average. A lot of players seem to be pressing for Ryle and that added pressure is affecting the hitting. Tough matchup Sunday against Elder is probably not what the doctor ordered to help overcome the hitting woes.

I agree... they have not been able to get the big hit, key pitch, or big defensive play all year. Not to sound like excuses are being made for this game, because I am not sure if it would have made a difference, but the umpires were awful. Very poor call on a third out at 3rd base in the second, they are out of that inning with no damage. Central ends up with 4 runs after that call in that inning. The low strike continues to be in issue in all games I have watched this the whole season in NKY, last night it was ridiculous.

Tough to see Cory come up sore, but I think Joe Renda pitched a pretty good game, pitched his way out of a couple of jams and games like these will only make him better in the future. At least the Raiders are swinging the bats, good things will come from that.

I started doing them one way and got used to how the StatCrew system that we (NKU) uses and thought that looked better and I decided to go with that type of look.

I agree... probably the worst fielding team I have seen this year and definitely one of the best hitting teams I've seen. I was impressed with how they hit the breaking ball and change-up, if you made a mistake or not they seemed to stay on those pitches and drive them.
