On the Old State Road side 5 of the 8 neighbors are still there. The original deal was not that CCH could never have lights or change the football facility. It SIMPLY said that if CCH wanted to make any changes or improvements that it needed to be approved by the City. TO MY KNOWLEDGE CCH HAS NEVER ASKED FOR PERMISSION TO INSTALL PERMANENT LIGHTS! While the City/neighbor issue is a hurdle, please stop blaming the neighbors for CCH not having lights. Now CCH is asking permission and it looks like they are going to get it. That is how it works and i am good with that.

I think you will be impressed with the softball facility. NDA has spent the money and parents and players have put in the work. There is still more to come.

Even if he was concerned about it he can not do anything about it. At least that is my understanding. Just like St Henry can not do anything about the middle school girls from St Paul and IHM that are on NDA's roster.

I think their field could be very cool if it is done right. It will take alot of work and a good amount of money. If they simply add a homerun fence and little else then it will not be anything special.

The new coach's name is Joe Stephenson. I spelled his last name wrong in my original post. I do not know him but I have seen him coach his summer team and it seems like he knows the game and how to coach girls. He is also one of the many parents that is investing a HUGE amount of time on working on the softball complex. It seems to me that NDA is willing to spend the money as long as the parents and players are willing to supply the labor. They have a plan that calls for big money and so far NDA has stepped up. I am not talking about a couple thousand dollars. Maybe, "if you build it, they will come". My daughter isn't even in high school yet but we are excited about the direction things are going at NDA.:thumb:

I can't remember the number but NDA has spent a considerable amount of money on the field, batting cage, bullpen and home team dugout. The labor has been provided by parents and players. They are going to build the visitors dugout next year. The work that has been done so far has been first class.

Joe Stevenson (sp) is the new coach. I know nothing about his experience but NDA's AD said they had 10 highly qualified applicants.

Are there any colleges that use Bluebirds as their teams name? I can't remember ever hearing of any. I wonder why.(Just joking around).

And on the flip side, why would Highlands schedule this game? Maybe there is a good explanation but I would think Highlands would try to play a tougher out of district opponent.
