  1. And I saw him moonlighting as a referee in a 5th grade girls basketball game. This guy does it all. Where does he find the time?:thumb:
  2. Not making excusesfor them, but the weather (cold and rain) was not conducive for their type of offense. Also, CCH played about as good as a game as they have all year (except the NCC game).
  3. Wow, what a cruddy day to watch a football game. The good news was that CCH played a complete TEAM game. I was surprised that they had as much succsess passing the ball in such terrible conditions. I believe that the pass was set up by being very succsessful running the ball. Offensively, everyone did their job. Kudos to the recievers for being able to hold onto the ball in such wet and cold conditions. I thought Isler threw the ball very well (8 of 12 for 118). I only can think of one turnover for the game. Defensively, they did a good job getting after the QB. There did seem to be open recievers at times, but overall the DB's played well with 2 or 3 ints. The punting game continues to struggle. The concept of punting the ball out of bounds does not work in high school football. Punters do not have enough control to punt the ball out of bounds effectively. By this time in the season they should be able to cover a punt. Also, you can't punt what you don't catch. I wonder why if Isler could play QB, why wasn't he punting? At least you know that he does not have trouble catching the snap. Sorry if I was longwinded about the punting game, but as you can tell by my username it is something that I feel is very important and often overlooked.:thumb:
  4. No need to get testy about lack of respect, ect. I am positive that CCH respects JC and the type of football they play. No CCH fan has posted anything about JC being weak or one dimensional.
  5. Sounds like one heck of a game. This Blue Colonel is rooting for the Red Colonels to bring home a victory!!!
  6. I am very surprised by the score at halftime. I think the Birds will come out in the second half with some fire.
  7. If Bs has a shot tonight, they cannot settle for FG attempts.
  8. Yes, IF CCH wins and Johnson Central wins, the next round would be at Johnson Central. But lets not get ahead of ourselves!!!
  9. Not that it matters, but wasn't this game pretty close last year?
  10. They were only 38 pts short of beating CCH.
  11. FYI, Isler caught at the end of 5 to 7 games last year. I am not here to argue that he is the top two or three catchers in NKY. There are several reasons that he does not get much work behind the plate.First, Maile is the catcher. Second, he is a pitcher and if you know Coach Krumps then you know that he does not like to use catchers as pitchers or pitchers as catchers. If he did, then I think you would see Maile pitching also. Third, they need his size and glove at first. The point that TOG was trying to get across was that Isler has the tools to be one of the top catchers in NKY. One other thing that is lost in most discussions about high school catchers is the ability to handle different pitchers from a mental standpoint and how to call a good game.
  12. Beechwoods QB did a good job tonight. Way too many dropped balls.
  13. I don't know what to expect. CCH should come out playing with some extra spunk after the butt kicking they took last week. Beechwood also will have a little something to prove after last years CCH game. A little extra spice to an already intense rivalry. That being said, I go with CCH 28 Beechwood 24.
  14. I saw the same thing. I was confused also. What are Beechwoods strenghts and weaknesses? If they have a decent running game then CCH may be in trouble. It is no secret that they have had big problems stopping the run. They are decent against the pass. CCH's offense has shown signs of life and death. I will say that the two shutouts were against two pretty darn good teams. CCH's special teams have been a little shakey also.
  15. I have not heard any reason that he wouldn't.
  16. The game should not have been put in the officials hands. I would blame it on poor clock managment.:walk:
  17. Very good post!!! Lets hope that everyone can keep that perspective. :thumb:
  18. Who has Scott played, and what is their record? I think CCH will win. The big question is how good is Scott's running game and can CCH improve their running defense. If Scott contolls the ball and eats up clock anything can happen. Until CCH fixes their defense every game will be a big question mark.
