CONGRATS ELLIOTT!!! I've just gotten home from the game and let me tell you . . . East (the "other" EC) really BROUGHT IT tonight (as they always do). Elliott started out slowly and trailed the entire 1st quarter but got it together in the 2nd quarter to finish the first half with a lead. I think EVERYONE in that gym was sweating (it must have been 150 degrees in there) it out that 1st half. The Lions came back in the 2nd half and played good team ball to put the final nail in the coffin. WE'RE PROUD OF OUR LIONS!! :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

That and when the opponents band starts playing just when the cheerleaders hit the floor. CLASSLESS!!

Thanks for the information. He sounds like the kind of young person that everyone would be proud to know. I'm glad we can be a part of the memorial in honor of him.

That's a very thoughtful memorial. I guess they use the Elliott game because they know they'll have a big crowd!

I was really surprised that EC only had about 1/4 of their normal crowd. Of course the regulars were there but it was unusual that there were many vacant seats available on the Elliott side of the gym tonight.:idunno:

Well . . . I just got home from the game and I've got to say that the most exciting part of the entire evening were the technicals (both called on Raceland). One was on the Raceland coach and the other was on a Raceland player. We really didn't play that well but I figured they were conserving their energy for all the games over the next week. I don't think that even deserves a response :ohbrother: But to clarify I personally think . . . and I could be wrong . . . but I think Wireman meant that with both teams playing a run and gun type of play, that the officials will have a HARD time keeping up therefore missing foul calls.

I would think so (unless the girls have rescheduled some games I've not got on my appointment book). That's really the way to do it though IMO . . . one senior night for ALL the seniors!!:cry: But now with the addition of the Ballard game on the 14th . . . senior night might be pushed back for the boys. :idunno: Maybe someone else can provide an answer for us!! It's a bittersweet night for me though since my daughter will be one of those seniors!! :cry::cry::cry:

Way to go ELLIOTT!! I can't WAIT!!!!!!! Bring your A game and show everyone what you're made of!! It'll be a 3 game week with a game on Thursday against Fleming too!

Yep . . . that's what happened. All this horrible weather has now robbed Elliott of a good/quick sub:eek: I know this is killing him (both physically and mentally). We wish him a speedy recovery!!

You didn't say they PLAYED . . . just that Elliott didn't have a baseball or football team. I just wanted to correct the information that Elliott does indeed havea a baseball team . . . as well as a swim team, archery team and track team that all compete on a regular basis.:thumb:

Incognito, I have to correct you on one point . . . we DO have a baseball team! But you are right about these boys playing bball all year round and the kids now playing on the 7th grade team will be contenders when they reach the high school circuit!!!:ylsuper:

So . . . on the 12th will the girls play GRC at 6pm then the boys will play Fleming at 7:30? If that's the case . . . it will be a VERY LONG NIGHT because we'll have Senior night between ballgames!!!!:cry:
