Now that I think back, I knew we'd come out of the region making it to state the last two years. Thanks for the correction! EC takes every game seriously and doesn't look over anyone because on any given day team B could win. Fairview has always been a solid competitor and I'm sure EC will come prepared both mentally and physically to do what they need to do. I don't know what the situation is for the 2 Fairview players being out today, but I hope it's nothing serious. I'm sure it's breaking their hearts not to be playing today.

What has 2 years ago go to do with today? I was told yesterday that Fairview will be playing 2 men down today too. Elliott's not out to embarrass anyone . . . just win the game in order to advance to the next level. They take one game at a time . . . play it the way only they can play it and move on.:ylsuper:

Maybe Fleming will make the trip to Sandy Hook on Feb 10th!

I'll say Elliott by 48. I heard yesterday that Fairview will be down two of their players.

Wonderful article about these outstanding young men and Sandy Hook. I'm proud that they have obtained the recognition they have. This type of extended media could be so beneficial to the children of Elliott County for generations to come in that people not only in eastern Kentucky but individuals across the nation are now familiar with our small community.

Any idea when the write up in the courier will be coming out? My parents get the courier and have been watching it for me but they haven't seen anything yet.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I was there too and saw lots of pushing/shoving, walking, over-the-back etc that were not called on the AC boys. If EC got a couple of calls it didn't nearly make up for the calls that didn't get called against AC.

I would rank 1-5 as: Ethan Faulkner Jonathan Ferguson Evan Faulkner Chris Knipp Timmy Knipp I too believe that Chris does not get the credit for all he does. I think he's a much more pivotal player on our team (last year and this year too) than his brother. Timmy will have his day but these seniors are the heart and soul of the team. Without them Elliott (and next year will tell that tale) would not be as competitive as they are in the region and state.

No prob . . . I was just giving you a hard time. I started to believe that it was such a big win for us that we were getting credit for 2 games!!

This is always a tough game (similar to playing West) but I believe the better EC (ELLIOTT) will come away the victor by 25 points!

I wasn't too far off on my prediction . . . I knew it would be close therefore I predicted a conservative win by 3 . . . it ended up being a 4 point spread!:jump: A win is a win :devil:

What a wonderful way to pay tribute to a Kentucky basketball legend. It was truly inspiring to hear Joe B. himself inform the entire gymnasium that he wears an Elliott County jersey in support and recognition of such talented and determined young men.

Hall at the end of the game. Maybe someone should send him a few Elliott County shirts so he won't have to wear the same jersey all the time!!! :thumb:

I believe that Ethan/Evan Faulkner and Jonathan Ferguson all played on the Elliott County Varsity team their 7th grade year and know for sure that they all played (and at least one even started) their 8th grade year.
