I applaud Pepsi for assisting individuals/families in Kentucky!! That being said . . . I always hate it when TV shows depict eastern kentucky individuals as being barefoot, ignorant individuals. The world takes that and generalizes it to the entire population.

There are 2 Ferguson girls on the team. Shae Ferguson is indeed Jonathan's sister. Kelsey Ferguson is their cousin!!!

Well . . . C. Knipp is a senior now! IMO T. Knipp can have his added upon his graduation depending upon his overall stats/performance during his HS career.

I believe it's a generational thing. There's not much these days for kids to get excited or enthusiastic about because they get so much. These teams/individuals "parental units" have stepped up to fullfill the gaps and continue their ongoing school spirit just as they did when they were in high school.

I don't have a problem with this practice. If I make a reservation (hotel or restaruant), my expectation is to arrive on time and be seated within a relatively short wait. It's the same way with a hotel room. Make a reservation . . . get a room assignment.

I don't understand this philosophy either . . . I guess I'm too much into instant gratification!

Why? :idunno: I don't think that what they accomplish in college has any bearing on the historical significance they have accomplished in Elliott County.

Sorry you had such a negative experience. I've not been to that particular restaurant but LOVE japanese steakhouses. My hubby doesn't care much for the food so my daughter and I always make sure to go a couple of times when we're in Myrtle Beach. On the reservation issue . . . if a restaurant takes reservations then that is their guarantee that a table will be ready and available for you within a reasonable amount of time. A lot restaurants won't accept reservations for specific days (such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day etc) but with the current economic climate, I guess restaurants want to serve as many people ($$$) as the possibly can!!

Gotta get there early to get a seat in the gym and not have to wait 30 minutes to get your refreshments!!!!:laugh:

We've always believed that this team deserves our support and recognition. It's just taken some of the rest of the state a little longer to acknowledge this phenominal group of young men!! :popcorn:

Any RAISE is a GOOD raise!!! And with a 2 income household that means $26 a week. That will buy my gas for 2-3 days a week so I can get back and forth to work!!!!!

Sorry . . . just "assumed" since this was in the Girls Basketball forum!! :thumb: Personally then . . . I would think that if you preferred one county system over the other, then start your child in that system from the beginning and no one would say anything. The majority of your property is in Kenton County so you could make a rational argument to attend there but your residence is in Pendleton County so you could also make a rational argument to attend there.

I don't know the answer to your question but . . . IMO these three outstanding young men/players should be recognized for their ability/capability and feel that their accomplishments should be recognized not only in our current community but to set a goal for future young men/women who aspire to play basketball in Elliott County. These guys should have their jersey's retired and encased in the Elliott County gymnasium. I am ALL ABOUT supporting kids so . . . everyone needs to voice their opinions!! I don't think the administration would be adverse to the idea (and they might have already thought about it) but showing them that the community is supportive will insure this occurs!!!

Congrats Shelby Valley. To the Raceland boys and fans . . . hold your head up high. Shelby Valley is a VERY GOOD TEAM!! You showed that you have the determination to get out there and play with the big teams.

I agree Lion Mania! I've always been a believer in the ol' sayin that the bigger they are . . . the harder they fall. I personally like it when Elliott is ranked lower because it takes the "target" off our backs.
