  1. Paris has a very nice team. There ol dominated the Jackets. They have ton of speed, and thier backs ran hard. Paris was the better team tonight.
  2. Bath County. By two TD. Bath County will be able to use their power offense to keep West speed of the field.
  3. All in All in is a very competitive District. I dont think no one team is the heavly favorite year in and year out.
  4. Paris, Berea, BB, and Nicholas have played district games Bracken hasnt played a district game yet. I agree it may come down to the point system to determine the Champion. So really there is no district leaders yet.
  5. Paris will win this one. Everyone looks at Paris record and think they are down, they have played up in thier schedule with no cupcakes. Paris will be in the hunt for the district.
  6. Nicholas County still has the hardest road ahead. At Paris at Bracken Co. Both these teams will be at thier best when these games come around. The District may come down to the very end.
  7. West Carter played very well #18 was the best player on the field tonight. Nicholas co. Missed several tackles and made several mistakes on offense. The Bluejackets need to learn and get ready for the Mustangs of Bishop Brossart.
  8. Isaac Fryman from Nicholas Co. Is putting up impressive numbers. He has to be considered in this thread.
  9. First road win fore Nicholas Co. since 2016. Both teams played extremely hard and was a very clean game. #11Fryman had a very good game and had help from #22 Saucedo and # 12 Sexton .
  10. Great picture! Thanks for sharing. The Blue Jackets are going to miss #21, Kody Campbell, on both the football and baseball fields. He was hurt in the football game against Bishop Brossart, concussion, and I actually had to take his helmet to make him realize he was finished. Back on topic, with the return of their QB and Bezold among others, Brossart will be fine. I expect them to be top 2 in a district that’s not going to be as strong as it’s been the last few years.
  11. I get tired of hearing this discussion because it really don’t matter whether he’s a fan of seeding or not! He has to make the correct decision for the success of the student-athletes at Augusta. I myself am a fan of seeding when it comes to sports, however at a small school you have to look at what is best for those student-athletes. If I’m at Augusta I think basketball, for the most part is a toss up at least as of the last 10 years. However baseball, wrong thread I know just gotta get my point across, I’m definitely voting for the draw to give MY kids a chance to play at region. Is that the best decision for the region, HECK NO!, but as an administrator I’m looking out for MY KIDS!!!
  12. 4/5 years has been a NKY/Louisville matchup and a team from one of those 2 areas has been in the finals 6 years in a row! Sorry, just found that interesting. That is 5 of the 16 regions in the state, however still quite impressive. I’m sure there’s more in-depth and interesting facts/statistics, that just jumped out at me.
  13. Augusta needs to hire a coach that has discipline. Watched them play a few summer games and I agree there is young talent there. With what I noticed they didn't take coaching very well. Plus they have plenty of coaches in the stands, who ever they get he will have his work cut out for him. Cause a person can coach LL or AAU teams doesn't mean they can coach high school ball. Wish the Panthers good luck. Love to see small schools have success.
  14. Bath co should be the district favorite. Big and strong up front with one of the states best running backs in Swartz. Should be Bath co. Year or will Johnny run his welcome out in wildcat nation.
  15. Should be 6-0 before the show down. It isn't a very difficult stretch before district.
  16. Great win. Congrats to Coach Sims and the boys. Good luck in region, make some noise. Proud of all the boys especially the Sr. Group they with the young kids have made people take a notice to the baseball team at Nicholas. They never feared the reputation of Harrison co. Great job in defending your crown as top dog of the 38th. Most of the Nicholas Co. Team play other sports they just dont play one. They are major contributors to the other programs. Keep it rolling.
  17. You are correct bow88 Fryman was the leading rusher. Nicholas will have to find a replacement for Campbell on both sides of the ball. It will probably take 2 to replace him. Campbel and Fryman were a good duo. Fryman again will be the main guy on the offensive side but who will be his running mate is wide open. Nicholas will have two solid lineman in Cleaver and Morgan but will need to replace 3 on the offense side of the ball. The biggest question mark will be how they will fair on the defensive side of the ball.
  18. Nicholas co. Lost 6 sr. From last year and leading rusher in Kody Campbell. They do return Isaac Fryman witch is a 3 yr starter at QB. Be heavly depended on thier Jr. Class. The district should be fun and exciting this year. Paris should be the favorites, but you cant count out BB, Bracken or Nicholas. Berea will be better with a good coach in Stepp.
  19. No, Nicholas Co. Baseball will not get rings for winning All A Region. Board policy states only state champions get rings. It was however, the first time since the implementation of All A baseball that someone other than Bishop Brossart won the 10th! That said let the Devils do as they want, the atmosphere in our gym was great that night!
  20. That is why you seed. Wow sombody is getting a cake walk in the first round of the Region.
  21. What I seen from spring practice Coach Hopkins is putting in the spread offense. Big change from the previous years.
  22. The boys from Carlisle are legit this year. Keep up the hard work and believing in each other.
