Its amazing how Cov Cath is able to do this with all 200 boys or more participating. We arent even able to get 50 or so kids to do the same cheer so this was awesome when I seen it done by Cov Cath at Mason Co. this year.

Im going to attend but I'm not sure how early to show up. I want to be there early enough to get a seat on the bottom of the visitors side and I want to see the senior ceremonies. I dont think I'll need to show up at 6 like for the Elliott game, but I dont know how big of a crowd Bryan Station usually has. I would appreciate if anyone could please tell me. Thanks.

1 was a player, Z Gillum ---he signed with EKU I believe but is not on their current roster and the other was the transfer student who never suited up at GC but attended school there. Seaul or something like that --Did he sign with UMASS or anywhere else ? thanks

Would like to see Russell win, but Greenup Co. wins this by 18.

I just hope Lewis Co. can knock down some shots on the road, seeing as they have shot considerably worse on the road then they do at home. They also must do a better job rebounding the ball. If they shoot 40%, I think they will win. If they shoot their usual 25-30% on the road, this might get ugly. Prediction to come later.

I just thought I would throw some names out for Lewis Co.: Andy Downing (C/P), Frankie Witten (1st), Cole Cooper (OF), Zach "Knucleball" Shaw (P/SS), and Coty Dermon (OF/DH).

I think the fact that Miller made the game winning shot at Lex. Cath. on TV helped out his cause.

If the player heard, I would have thought he would have called the time-out. I didnt hear the coach or the player calling the time-out so I cant say why it wasnt given. I would think his players learned quickly selective hearing.

To be consider a true "big guy" and have a post presence when it comes to playing outside the 16th region and competeing with the best, I think you would need to 6'6 or taller with strength. Just having heighth will not make you a good "big guy". Some of the men people are describing would probably need to be guards or forwards for other teams because they simply dont have the size to match up with other centers. Granted, all these men are good ball players but cant match up heighth wise with other centers outside the region.

Agreed. I love to bash the officials myself but fans get away with that. I dont think a coach should be worried so much about yelling at the officials and should concentate on developing his team. This man has a good young team that he should be working with to develop.

The only "big guy" in the 16th playing center would be Blake Pettit. Compared to other regions, the 16th is very small. I wouldnt consider someone 6'4 playing center to be a "big guy", so Pettit, being 6'9, would have to be considered the best "big guy". There might be better centers within the 16th, but nobody with "big guy" size. Going away from center, Dakotah Euton has to be the best within the 16th and in years to come, might be one of the best in the state.

My dad set no more then 10 feet from their bench the entire night and said he was also suprised the officials didnt give him the TO. But when you have someone who yells constantly such as he does, you have to block him out and the officials were probably just trying to focus on the game and not some of the things he was saying. He also said he heard many bad words coming from him the entire night.

10th Region and 16th Region officiating differs greatly. 10th seems to be much more physical and more like the college game where 16th is much more touchy and inconsistent. But the officiating in this game couldnt be anyworse then it was last year when we came to St. Pat. (That game ended with 20 seconds left on the clock because a Lewis Co. player was knocked out going up for a layup when we were down by 20)

Ashland continues to really struggle. West Carter has been playing good basketball as of lately. Good win for the Comets.

There was also a very nice presentation for Coach Bub Silvey. He has been the assistant coach at Lewis Co. for a number of years and will be leaving for active duty in early March. Both sides gave him an standing ovation. This is one of the nicest, most caring men you will ever meet and I want to wish him the best of luck. You will be deeply missed next basketball season in Lewis Co. as well as the entire 16th region.

Gutsy is a good word to describe the Lions tonight. I thought they played much harder than St. Pat and therefore pulled of one last home win for the Seniors. I thought Bub Witten along with Cody Riley. Away game Friday at a good Bath Co. team. Lets continue to gain momentum going into districts.

Chris Allen. I think Marla does a good job and is much better then the other 2.

I also thought there was a nice presentation for Gary Kidwell and his long-time support to the Lewis Co. program as well as the EKC.

I would guess, teams struggled to put the ball in the basket?

Lewis Co.'s defense was much better tonight. They also shot much better from the field and the FT line. I think Fleming Co. controlled the boards throughout the entire game but didnt shoot real well from the FT line. Very physical game, both teams having players fouling out. J.T. Britt and Terrence Smith had exceptional games for the Lions along with Frankie Witten. I would guess scoring was pretty well spread out for Fleming Co.

Let's hope they're getting prepared for the post season. I look for this to be a very physical game being that Lewis and Fleming seem to have some bad blood. Fleming beat them earlier in the year in the Bracken Co. Invit. Lewis Co. has playing much better ball the last couple of weeks compared to then. I'll take Lewis Co. by 12.

Lewis Co. at home on Senior Night, I will take them by 6. St. Pat has 2 very good ball players in Owens and Anderson. Lewis Co. must hold them to pull off the victory.

This will be my first Mason Co. Senior Night, and I was just wondering when they did the ceremonies? Before J.V., before varsity, after the game, etc.? If they do it before J.V., I want to make sure I am there early enough to get a good seat. And do you think the place will be as crowded this Friday like it was last Saturday?
