Anyone know who?

I wish the new coach well. He is already coming into a position where the kids are going to be behind and playing catch-up for a couple of seasons. However, am I reading this right, he has no varsity experience as an offensive or defensive coordinator? I personally feel that this will slow the develop of this program.

I will agree with the statement that Coach Ollier and his brother and dad are class individuals and overall nice guys. But examine the situation that led to him being named coach. He was the third head coach in a span of about 2-3 weeks. First it was Carter, then Coleman (for about 2 days), then out of necessity, Rodney. By this time it was late July, he was named because he was available (already on staff as I recall). With that being said, I agree that the timing is terrible. I understand that they have interviewed several quality coaches already and the one hurdle that keeps popping up is not having a teaching position in the building available. Good Luck in the Search. Hopefully, you will be able to find someone who can get the ball rolling this year. If not, do what you can to get through this year, and make sure you have the right person in next year.

There has been some confusion on whcih Hensley is being mentioned. Steve Hensley previously coached at Ludlow (I beleive), lives in NKY and is currently teaching/coaching at Taylor High in OH. I would not beleive that Dave Hensley from Dunbar would be interested in Ludlow.

It was no secret that the Coach, the administration, board and parents had a rocky year. It was also no secret that if given the right circumstance, Coach would go elsewhere.

The game has been moved to Friday, June 6.

Randy Borchers will do a great job at Cooper. He is a good coach and will help to develop Cooper into a fine program. Obviously, the first year will be rough and the naysayers will be out early. Give him a chance. Good Luck Coach Borchers!:thumb:

When it comes to the playoffs, kids may have a preference of who they want to play based on past history or "playoff rivalries". But honestly, the kids would not care who they play, being in the playoffs and travelling to any away site is always exciting. So I agree that playing other districts in the early rounds is best, but lets be reasonable: KEEP IT CLOSE TO HOME!!!

Officials have a very tough job. I agree that a bad call here or there usually doesn't mean disaster because there are about 100 other plays that contribute to the game. Anyway, my experience is that when a crew is bad, they are bad for both teams....usually.

I talked to an official who was working the booth upstairs and was evaluating the game officials and he had the opportunity to see the play on their monitors. He said that the TD call for Ft. Campbell was the right call.

To say that Rash cant coach at Mo is not a smart statement because coaches have to organizers, motivators and decision makers. I believe that Rash can do this. Kentucky schools not competing with the likes of GCL teams has nothing to do with his ability to coach. Previous comments about him not being able to coach in the GCL is more about the talent level than coaching.

Does your school have a head coach that is neither an offensive nor defensive coordinator? Do you think they should be? I already know that NCC has that situation. Besides game management, what do they contribute?

I know you dont have to be a certified employee to be a head coach, but dont you need a minimum number of college credit hours to be one? I thought I heard this before and that Dave did not have that.

I know Casey has been there a few years. Not certain how many have been spent as a certified emplyee. He whould be close to being tenured. So just because he is Health and P.E. may not matter.

I know this was came from a previous post, but should be addressed. Bellevue DOES NOT try to intentionally hurt another player. End of story. Beechwood was the better team last night. They were bigger and stronger and it showed. They should be favorites to win another title this year. However, I think they will have trouble if they run up against a team that can match their size.

The coach was ejected for getting on the sideline official. Show me a game where that does not happen. That was the unsportsmanlike penalties. It was not from a player.

I said that what I thought Hurricane meant was that Bellevue is "the only team playing Beechwood this week". So, they are the only team that can beat Beechwood THIS WEEK. It is meant as positive motivation for Bellevue. They have a chance to Knock off the top team in the state (depends on what poll you look at). No one else can say that.

I think he meant that Beechwood plays Bellevue this week. Hence, Bellevue is the only team in Ky with a shot of knocking them off.

Joe Wynn played one heck of a game last night. After having a bad shoulder and wearning a harness for the game, he took some shot. One of which he was absolutely "jacked-up" and his helmet went flying. He jumped back up and two plays later ran in their second touchdown. Very tough kid, and a very tough performance.
