He only threw 130 pitches.

He was a lineman. Owen Co. doesn't keep stats that I know of.

Owen Co. beat S. Oldham today 4-3. Got some good pitching from Ogden, Cox, Layton and Neeley. Owen's JV did OK as well with good pitching from Osborne, Towles and 6th grader Jarod Ball.

Ryle has a lot of talent. I won't be suprised if they win the region.

Our pitching looks better than it has in the past 5 years that I've been here. Besides Ogden, Jordan Cox Looks real strong hitting low 80's. Collin Gambel, Brody Layton, and Royce Neeley haven't thrown much due to basketball but are coming along nicely. Since we haven't took a ground ball yet, our defense is up in the air. We still should be better defensively than last year. Hitting will be the key to our success. 20 swings is all we have had so far, besides a tee.

Michael Ogden of Owen Co. has 17 wins, 166 innings pitched, and 213 K's in 3 years. He should dominate this year.

Owen is sheduled to play Sat. 3/15 against S. Oldham. and 3/18 at Western Hills.

Terrible officiating. It might have had a different outcome but 5 bad calls late in the game all went Shelby's way. Congrats to Owen on a good season. No one thought they would be as good as they were. Good luck to Shelby,

I have been told that there are several, but they wouldn't give me any names.

His first year on Defense at Corner. Coach Blackburn taught him everything.Whoever gets the Head Coaching job would be wise to hire him back as the Defensive Coordinater.

The way that it is now is best. If your district runner-up, you most likely woudn't want to draw the team that just beat you.

We have 2 kids already throwing 70 pitches, twice a week. They have been throwing since football season on their own. We have other pitchers that we limit to 35-40. When the basketball players come out, they will be far behind and will be limited on how many pitches they can throw untill they can build up their arm strength. By then we will most likely be outside in the cold instead of the comfort of the gym., which will slow their progress. We don't have any black on our plate either.

IMO you nailed it there. Throw in the Cox kid from Henry. I don't know much about the southern part of the 8th. I'm sure Shelby, Anderson and the Oldham teams will have some solid pitchers as well as SK. If the kids you mentioned get some run support and solid defense behind them, they could put up some good numbers this year.

I think they should let the students in free.

Every kid is different but 150 is stretching it. My son averaged right at 100 pitches per game over the last 3 years. The long innings are what hurts the arms. Conditioning the arm and keeping sleeves on while pitching in temps under 70 and warming up the body temp. before throwing will help. But I don't think they will ever put a pitch limit on a game.
