If Owen Co. will pound the ball down the middle with they're 2 good fullbacks, Oaks and Snyder, and keep pounding it. They could wear out a defense and then give to a very quick Harris after the D tires a bit, they will do well. Josh Slone will be key if they give it to him. Then maybe they could pass a bit without going backwards. Owen Co. D will be ready. Coach Blackburn should get more credit than he does. He's help my son into a decent DB.

Owen Co. IMO could have won every game this year. I'm sure Desales is alot better than their record. So is Owen. One of them is going to get a big, much needed win. I hope its Owen but I would not bet on it.

Should be a close one. Don't know much about Desales except for their record and stats. Looks like they struggle a bit on offense like Owen does. Unless Owen changes their Offense, I don't see them scoring very many points. Their only score last week was an accident on a tipped pass. They don't do any hitting in practice. JV D against Varsity O an vice versa. Why not practice Varsity O against Varsity D since only a couple players play both sides. Too much standing around watching.

Not winless, they still play Owen Co.

Cox has been practicing at RB.Someone will have to play both sides because Pruitt will probably not be playing strong safety, and #9 at corner is injured. Cox is too slow at corner. Slone should play D because #33 LB Hoop is also injured.

They do have good atheletes that are in shape that should be playing on both sides of the ball but are not.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that Cox will not take another snap at QB. Pruitt replaced him. I thought because of an injury but that was not the case. IMO they will not improve at offense but will keep getting better at D from being out there so much.

Owen's D is decent. The points scored on them came after turnovers.

Cox actually played JV today against Henry. I think they do OK against the power running, but they don't pursue QB's to well. As for Cox and Pruitt, I don't know what they'll do come friday.

Looked like a good defensive swat on one play and an overthrown ball against a backup corner to me.

He did throw 3 INT's in the short time he was in.

#7. He's quicker than Cox, but only half the arm. He plays a tough DB. Their defense would hurt if he only played QB.

Today at practice, Tyler Pruitt ran the offense.

You are exactly right Play Maker3. If Owen Co. ever figures out a way to get the ball in the endzone when they get close, the outcome of their games would be different. Henry should have scored more, especially with all of the turnovers Owen's offense had, but Owen's defense had some great stops.

They're not better than that.

Not a lot of holes to run through. He save Cox from taking more shots than he should have. At times Gallatin got through the line as soon as the ball was snapped.

The talent is there for Owen. They have some awesome atheletes. The defense did a great job in the first half. They were out there to long. #22 needs to be running the ball and # 1 needs to be a reciever. You got to score when your inside the 5 yd. line only if it's only 3 pts. The momentum would have stayed with Owen Co. going into the second half. Just my opinion

Jordan Cox's Ct Scans were OK and he was released from the hospital. They think it was a pinched nerve. He's a tough kid, and should be back in action next week :thumb: Thanks for all the prayers. And for Owen Co. fans lets pray that the offensive line can do a better job of protecting him.

#5 is Jordan Cox. He hurt his back and then passed out on the sideline. He is at St. Luke getting ct scans. Great kid, awesome family. Our prayers are with him.

Yes, a new head coach and a simpler offense. Yes I'm optimistic and I guess I'm the only Owen Co. fan on this site. It should be a good game.

Owen is a lot better team than they were last year when they beat Gallatin by 20. I'm sure Gallatin has improved also. I'll take away 6 for home field and say Owen by 14.
