Forgot to mention the Workman girl from Grant Co. I have heard she has been playing pretty well for them. I will get to see her on Friday. Staying in the 32nd, Wainscott for SK is a nice player also.

Williamstown has Chelsea West and Tori Wilhoit. Both are 3 year varsity starters for the team and both played significant minutes during their 6th grade year. Wilhoit is 4 rebounds short of 500 and should get that her next game. She tied the school record with 16 earlier this year. Not bad for a 5'6" player.

The game is at Grant County. Williamstown has not played a consistant game yet this season. If they can play a complete game without any mental lapses, I like their chances. If not, it could be an 0-2 start for them in the district.

GC by a boat load. At least 30. I seen where Latin only had 4 games on their schedule (varsity).

Actually the 1st quarter was pretty competitive with the lead going back and forth. They built on that in the 2nd quarter. SK came out strong in the 3rd and took control of the game. As far as their JV team playing the majority, I only remember 1 kid (#31) playing quite a few minutes in the game until the very end with about 3 minutes to play. Stiener played a rotation of 8-9 for most of the game. I am unsure of the 8-9, how many played JV and then varsity. SK did turn up the defensive pressure in the 2nd half to take control. With more game experience and getting kids healthy, they will be pretty decent by years end.

Carroll big in this one. Let's say 56-30. Pressure defense will be too much for Henry to handle.

Grant shot the ball really well also. It helps when the ball goes into the bucket.

I agreee. He is an outstanding coach. Their half court defense is really good. With what I have seen, He aslo seems to be a really good man also. As far as the game, I was pretty accurate on this one. SK makes good teams look bad.

Williamstown was not in score due to the weather on Friday morning and the administrators would not let the game be played. Unsure of their reasoning though. Coach Wilhoit was not happy about the move, but said he respects their decision.

Kramer (6'1 or so, but plays bigger) from Lloyd, Vice (6'4") did not play last year and Walter (6'0") did not play. All 3 are very athletic.

I don't see SK giving up 60 points to Walton. They only gave up 60 twice last year. Once to NDA and once to Shelby Co. Not going to happen. If SK scores 75, it will be a long night for WV. On a side note, I have heard some very good things about Dixon from Walton. I have not seen her play yet, but I hear she has really improved. It will be interesting how she plays against the size of SK.

If WV pulls off the upset, It will be a long RUN back to Independence. I am not saying that WV is a bad team, SK just makes good teams play bad. It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be.

I think Carroll will have to be hitting the outside shot in this one. Hard to attack the basket with Williams in the middle. If Carroll's press bothers Owen, Carroll will win by 10+. If the game turns into a half court game, I like Owen 42-35.

I feel SK's defense will hold Hargett in check. If they do, points will be hard to come by for Walton. That is my reasoning for such a low score for Walton. Walton did score 42 against them in last years district, but they were also held to 29 in one game and 21 in another.

Simon Kenton 62 Walton 27. With SK losing to Manual last weekend, I am sure Coach Stowers has put the Lady Pioneers through a tough week of practice. They will be more than ready to dominate the game. The final score will depend on when he decides to pull his starters.

I agree, it was very physical. Williamstown came out flat in the 3rd quarter and stopped going to the offensive boards. Give Owen credit, they hit the shots when it counted plus Williams was too much to handle on this night.

Owen Co outscored Williamstown 20-4 in the 4th quater to win the game going away. Kelsey Williams for Owen Co. had a triple double with 22 pts, 18 rebounds and 11 blocks. Jaclyn Stith led Williamstown with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Like a lot of posts, the refereeing was something to be desired. Williamstown was whistled for at least 25 fouls to about 15 for Owen Co. plus a lot of other missed or no calls both ways.

Who are the projected starters for Gallatin? I would have to guess Jones, Hill and Balsiger, but unsure of the other 2. Can anyone help with this?

Williamstown ran into a buzz saw. I am positive they will not be the only team this year to run into the same saw. I believe Simon's half court defense is better than it was last year. Williamstown committed way to many turnovers and did not shoot the ball well at all. Wilhoit played. I heard her dad say she was around 80% - 85%. she led them in scoring with 8 and rebounding with 9. She plays with the heart of a lion. I think Williamstown will be o.k. since they have gotten SK out of the way early. They should be competitive in their next few games.

Heard Owen was without 3 players including starting point guard Kendal Cochran. Any word on this or why they did not play?

Did she play last year on JV or Varsity or is she a transfer. It is hard for a freshman to make a huge impact without playing against the better competition as a middle school player. If she is as good as advertised, I will be anxious to see her play.

With what I have been reading in previous posts, 48 points may be a bit much for Grant to score. If the big girl from owen stays out of foul trouble, GC's inside points may be limited. I am only basing this on the previoius post though. Good luck to GC.
