What are your predictions for tonight's game between Owen Co. at Grant Co. I think Owen wins 39-32.

I think Grant is going to have an up and down year..new coach, new system..but they have some good players.

 

Owen Co. is binging a lot of experience to the gym. I think they will come away with a win, however I think it will be close 42 - 38.

Grant County with the win 48-40. A couple of players have developed extremely well. If these players are consistent, game in, game out, Grant will be a tough opponent.

With what I have been reading in previous posts, 48 points may be a bit much for Grant to score. If the big girl from owen stays out of foul trouble, GC's inside points may be limited. I am only basing this on the previoius post though. Good luck to GC.

You may be right! A freshman center for Grant has been looking pretty good & is aggressive towards the hoop. She may get some minutes tonight. You are also right about the Owen center staying out of foul trouble. Hopefully Grant goes at her aggressively right away.

Did she play last year on JV or Varsity or is she a transfer. It is hard for a freshman to make a huge impact without playing against the better competition as a middle school player. If she is as good as advertised, I will be anxious to see her play.

Nope. She came up through the middle school & is a true freshman. Fast, very aggressive & plays hard. Does have a nose for the basket. Will be a player to keep an eye on in the future, but will come off the bench for now. As you say, it is hard for a freshman to make an impact, but as the season progresses, I think she will see quality minutes.
