Gallatin County @ Walton Verona Predictions

Featured Replies

Any thoughts??

Will Walton bounce back, or will they just roll over and show no heart? !Hope not!

I think this will be a very good game. Walton will have more talent , but Gallatin will be physically tougher and better conditioned i think. This should be a single digit game either way.

Gallatin will have Lauren Hargett to deal with. I have not seen the Lady Wildcats yet, but unless Brooke Hill has gotten to be a more physical player over the summer, Gallatin will have a problem with Lauren in the middle. Should be a good game regardless.

We will have both coaches on the show this Saturday.

Starting last year I haven't seen Walton display the ability to put together a coherent game plan. I think they can be knocked off by anybody at anytime. Just my observation.

I think thay wont have a problem with Hargett in this game. As long as Gallatin pressures the ball, Walton will have a hard time getting into any flow. Hargett didn't dominate against Carroll. She didn't look like she even wanted to be out there. I think Walton will beat themselves just like when they played Carroll!

I actually thought Walton looked good, they did not have the right game plan against CC but to be honest CC is under-rated and very fast.

Gallatin is very young but has some nice players on their team.

If Walton gets on a roll they may win big, but if not GC could really give them some problems. As far as Hargett, I though she worked hard but seemed tired at the end. She needs some guard help so that she does not have to handle the ball.

This will be a good match-up and a good test for Gallatin to see what they have this year.

Yeah. I think if Gallatin pressures Walton like CC did, I think Gallatin can get the win. CC played Walton to prefection! And Walton Coaches were crazy to pressure back CC. If the coaches try something crazy to Gallatin, it might be a long home opener for WV. Side Note: CC team, gots game!:ylsuper:

Luntic1...Do you think Hargett should run the point for Walton like she is? I think she should move towards the post. Thats where she scores all her points anyways. Might as well start down there, ya know?

I was surprised she was running the point, especially against someone like Girdy. She is a great ball handler but she is going to have to play against these short quick girls.

It seems that they have some nice guards on their team that could work to get the ball to her. She is not really a post player, more of a forward.

It has to wear her out..being guarded by Amber is no picnic. She still had about 25 points though! I really think she is a great player and by running the point she shows how versatile she is.

Who are the projected starters for Gallatin? I would have to guess Jones, Hill and Balsiger, but unsure of the other 2. Can anyone help with this?

good point Jeanie, #11 Hargett is not a true post. but in that game she could have had a field day at the post. CC is strong at guard but weak on the inside. So to me the thing to do would have been to play Hargett at the post in the halfcourt offense. As far a playing the point I agree it has to be tough for her. But from my observation of the game the really would need her to do that if Walton would have had a decent press break. No one flashing to the middle of the floor in there break (very odd) I don't know but I think Gallatin will have a advantage over Walton.

I forgot to mention. Carrolls guards played a great game that night!!!

I am not sure either..they lost a lot of scoring to Graduation and I am not as familiar with the girls that are coming up. This summer it seemed to be a lot of Freshman.

I am not sure how many girls, or who they ended up with on their Varsity team. The website ( the best in our area..by Buttels) has not been updated with a current roster or information.

I'll be at the game tonight to get audio for the show in the morning. Stop by and say hi.
