Williamstown by 5. This is a start of 6 games in 9 days for the Lady Demons. Hopefully it will help get them ready for the district.

Cancelled due to possible weather issues. No date for make-up set.

Williamstown Freshman Tori Wilhoit became the schools all time leading rebounder tonight against Trimble Co. The old record was 629. Nice accomplishment for a freshman. She has been playing on the varsity level since being in the 6th grade. For those of you the do not know Tori, she stands only about 5'6" tall, but is very tenacious when it comes to rebounding. Her personal goal is to achieve at least 1000 rebounds. I feel that and then some is very attainable. Congratulations to Tori on her accomplishment.

If it was that rough, maybe they should have done something a little bit earlier. But with that crew, I understand how it happened. I would like to know what is said at the start of the games by the officials and how much of it is upheld during the game.

I heard from a pretty relible source that the Martin kid was blocked out pretty hard under the basket. On the next trip down the floor, he took a cheap shot . The both of them started wrestling around and Spoonamore (W'town) and Ponzer (WV) were involved, possibly trying to break it up. All 4 of those players were ejected. 3 more W'town players left the bench area, but did not go very far out on the floor. Since they left the bench area, they were also ejected. I also heard that the officials will recommend all players ejected serve 1 game suspensions. It will be up to the schools if the players should serve more.

They do hold wrestling matches in Walton at times, don't they? I think they used to be in the armory, but must have used the high school gym tonight.

I agree, West and Wilhoit need to put more points on the board. Both struggled with their shooting. If Williamstown stays away from SK, the re-match could be a good one with a big emphasis on could. On a side note, with everything I had been hearing, I expected more out of the middle school players from Walton than what I seen. I hardly remember them on the floor very much during the game. Gin barely was on the floor before fouling out. The other guard looked a little intimidated by the rough play that both teams were dishing out. They are just middle schoolers and an intense game like the teams were playing can make them look like middle schoolers IMO.

Who were the officials?

My geography teacher was not the best, but if it is the top county, wouldn't that be Boone County or is it the Bluegrass region. I'm so confused:creepy:.

Walton will win pretty comfortably. I think Coach May would rather play WV in the district. If W'town beats WV tonight, SK is the #1 seed and W'town plays them in the district. WV wins tonight, WV and SK are tied for the one seed and it would be a draw. Is that correct?

FRom all of the negative comments about Greenup, I think they forget it is about the kids, not the administrators. Thankfully my kids do not live close to that debacle.

I feel she let the girls play because they were making the plays. Their upper classmen stepped up and made the plays. The 8th graders were not in the game a whole lot. Ginn fouled out rather quickly. I think she found it hard to guard Stith. If WV continues to play solid defense, they could have a very good end of the year.

It depends which WV shows up. If it was last night's team (against W'town), I will pick WV by 16. If the other WV shows up, I'll pick Gallatin by 4.

WV's zone offense was better than what it had been in the past. Knew Heeger could shoot the ball, but Sargent is very streaky. She was on a hot streak last night. Willimastown did a poor job of blocking out at times which led to many 2nd chance points. That along with their defense were the keys to their win IMO. With a little luck, maybe we will see them again in the district.

Coach Rosen had a good game plan. Their on the pressure wasoutstanding tonight forcing Williamstown into numerous tournovers. Congratulations to outstanding games by Hargett and Stith. They were difinitely the 2 best players on the floor tonight. Stith had a great block on Hargett. I don't think Lauren was expecting that. Good luck to WV the rest of the season.

Gentleman at Grant Co. does a good job. His name slips me at the time. Mr. Morris is pretty good also. Wish I could say the same about his son... (he does a nice job also).

Now that you mention it, I have not seen WV's coach watching W'town. Interesting.

I'll take Williamstown by 3 in this one. In their first match-up, WV shot the lights out from the field. I don't think they can duplicate that at the "Demon Dome". There is a lot riding on the game for Williamstown. A win means they will play WV again in the district. Good luck to both teams.

I agree. I have heard numerous times "we are going to punish her because she is tall", but it seems the athletic girls are the ones who are punished and get called for a foul on a block.

Final. Williamstown shot horrible in the 2nd half. I heard Coach Wilhoit say they were something like 4 of 29 in the 2nd half. You don't win many games like that. Congratulations to Owen Co.

If Jones is as hot as she was against Williamstown in the All A at Trimble, I will have to take Gallatin by 6. Jones and Balsiger have to stay out of foul trouble also.
